The Golden Temple in Vientiane, Laos - Pha That Luang

Pha That Luang Vientiane is an ancient giant golden stupa in the centre of the city of Vientiane (the capital city of Laos). Legend has it that the site has been sacred since the 3rd century AD when Buddhist missionaries enshrined holy relics here. The stupa is regarded as the most important monument in the country and has become a symbol of local Buddhist faith and Laos sovereignty. It is definitely a place you want to visit when traveling, or on holiday in Laos.
