Any travel plans that involve a visit to Scotland? I'm going the other way (to the US) with my daughter later this year (no plans to visit Austin but it looks nicer than I had imagined). After this pandemic, am ridiculously excited to be able to do some international travel again.

I'm from San Antonio where I lived most of my life. Watching the sunrise isn't something I ever thought of while living there. But as you might know by now Texas has a very unique and proud culture. The food is amazing and people are very friendly. Enjoy your time in Texas. Cheers!

I’m enjoying your traveling videos and welcome to Austin! You should go to Sunset Deck in Lago Vista. It’s right outside Austin off of Lake Travis. It’s a perfect spot to capture a sunset here in Texas.

yay! I'm going to Austin in March! Flying from Portugal
Loving Texas already, I moved to nearby Dallas 6 months back from New Jersey. I realized Iam missing snow but then Iam more outdoor person so this place is perfect to go outside even in winter. Last week I visited Austin it is a beautiful city and couldn’t get a chance to visit Lady bird lake but we went to Mt Bonnell,such a view from top overlooking the Colorado river. It’s a easy 5 minutes hike but would get a beautiful view on top with those luxurious houses underneath.
I recommend you go to The Oasis restaurant in the morning and afternoon. Extremely awesome views of the Sun and nature.

I know this isn't one of your solo trip vids, but I love watching your travels and would love to see maybe like a walk thru from start to finish on how you search, book and plan your trips (especially finding the deals, the apps/sites you use, credit card point hacks if you do that, planning routes and where to stay etc). I thought I was a boss with the 70mm-200mm, and then I bought a 100mm-400mm. By far, the 100mm-400mm is my favorite lens lately.

I was born and raised in Austin. Natives like me still call it "town lake" lol. Im glad you're liking it here, but it's an internal conflict...the growth of the city has many negatives, especially over the last 10-15yrs. Too many rich ppl are moving here, pushing out low to mid income folx and making the homeless pop larger (and we're not handling it in a humane long term solving way either). I've never imagined living anywhere else until recently sadly. The population and businesses have become more "LA", too much for my taste. Anyway lol just some honest commentary. Interested to hear more of your experience though. Have you been to Barton Springs yet? It's the gem of the city, so as things warm up you should definitely go! If you have an underwater cam that would be amazing too
