But, unless this wedding is “black tie formal” (as stated on invitation) at 6pm or High Noon at a Cathedral and/or The Beverley Hills Hilton or The Plaza…maybe not quite appropriate (I’ve been in 7 and to dozens of weddings. Did manners classes, cotillion, debutante shit. Not one of those weddings did someone wear anything like that). I’ve been to a black tie wedding at The Sealbach Hilton in Louisville the Friday before the Kentucky Derby at 6pm…it wasn’t that fancy (not even the bridesmaids wore something so formal). I feel like, unless the Bride puts their bridesmaids in sparkle, you probably don’t want sparkle in your dress to a wedding, and even then only the bridesmaid should (you never want to out for the bride’s jewelry/jewels). The same goes for all over lace…unless the dress is tea length or shorter. (At least that was always the etiquette I was taught…and it was taught by the granddaughter of a Vanderbilt…soooo…). You never ever want to risk outshining, or out “sparkle” out “flair” the bride, mother/grandmother of Bride or Groom, or the members of the wedding party as a guest. It likely wouldn’t be a major faux pas because she is family…but if not family, it would be considered gauche. (Unless she had been asked to read, do the book, or attend in the wedding somehow). I wouldn’t have risked it around some of the dragon-ladies of manners I grew up around.

you musn't be very familiar with influencers that will go to great lengths to film EVERYTHING. Also it seems that they're in a hotel on site so it's likely they have 10 minutes to get down to the lobby to meet with the rest of the party for photos and such, so time wouldn't be such a big worry :)

Why would yellow be controversial? If it’s a very, very pale yellow so it’s difficult to see that it’s actually yellow and not white, then yes, it could be considered controversial. But this dress is both a strong yellow and it also has a black part to it so it absolutely fine.
