The game is fast paced for me, I know the screenwriter passed away but if they done Zoochosis in multiple chapters and keep story hype up in each chapters, it would become top 10 indie horror game. Zoochosis gives out Resident Evil vibe, it's disappointing that they didn't go for chapters to chapters.
Aargh, chapters and “hype” doesn’t dictate “quality.” Alongside the crawl that is pacing judging by others’ gameplay, this game’s fundamentals has issues. I’m not even talking about the bugs; the story, gameplay, and horror are either half-baked or fall flat. Of course these have solutions, but that requires an overhaul of the game we will be unlikely to see from this studio. These flaws could only be worsened if it were a chapter-based system _(and previously HAVE NOT went well with Clapperheads’ previous game)._ Look at BATIM, Poppy’s, Banban, and Indigo Park; they’re all chapter based because they need the funds…and they’re making the game or the story as they go, regardless of quality or integrity. In fact, Chapter-based is probably a red flag for those who _really_ want profits - If you remember Showdown Bandit and Sparky Marky, they went down almost immediately when they didn’t get the attention they felt needed. Making a repeat would definitely be a blow to Clapperheads’ reputation with even MORE eyes their animated teasers garnered - especially if it’s releasing in a state around this quality. Finished or unfinished, first impressions can be everything. Sea of Thieves, No Man’s Sky, and Fallout 76 get away with disappointing launches because they have the budget to tank their mistakes. Smaller studios don’t, and that’s probably why UniqueGeese acts meticulous for Indigo Park’s future.
let me tell you guys something. ifn someone in the devoloper team died, doesn't mean that we have to lie about the goods and the bads of this game. the bad things, this game is way too short and didn't lift up the expectation. also, the voice acting is not good. i know that the guy who responsible for writing the stroyline are dead. but, we have to treat his game fairly. bad is bad, good is good. don't overrating it or overhating it. the good things of this game, it can make the player have fun with treating animals. but the endings are horrible... if they can't do good endings because of their story writer has died. then, why don't they delay the release date of zoochosis? i bet that many people will respect their choice. the sudden death of one of your partners isn't an easy thing to deal with.
TBH, even if the endings were kinda wonky, the gameplay was repetitive after the second enclosure, since all the checklists are the same for each animal, only difference is just food type, which the gameplay isn't even different anyway
@@GameFuMaster For me, i dont think that this is the completed version of zoochosis. imagine if one of the member didn't died. maybe, they couls change the endings to be a bit more worthy to be remembered. other things though, they still have to gain more experience to make a better game than this. and for god sake, hiring some professional voic actors is a "must do" thing. the boss fight is meh, i thought that the player could have a fight with the mother at the end. but no. also, there's a speedrun videos for this game already. can you imagine that? crazy.
Well done, you can think critically. The answer for that is "lmao", because the devs rushed the game after the screenwriter died and couldn't be bothered to polish it fully.
It seems like anything infected by The Mother needs eats infected meat, such as the humans Doc syringes before grinding (like Paul in the AFK ending), which ironically leads to these things having a cannibalistic life cycle. Not sure why they can only reproduce through Mother though. Or why The Mother wants live food.
@sebastianbronowicki7073 Fr I think in the scene, there was meant to be a cure given to him last second, but they forgot even that in the rushed mess. Especially since when he kills the girl, doc said he'll give the cure. Just not his life back

Stop complaining and give respect to the deceased screenwriter? This game is a major insult to the deceased screenwriter smh. They could've just cooked the game a bit longer, why rush it? Play-testing and making refinements for the game would've been a great way to honor the works the screenwriter left behind but no, they just had to rush it for a quick cash grab because of the hype the game made initially. Stop with the horrible excuse, the game is subpar at best. Edit: The price for the game is enough to convince me that all they care about is the 💰.
The game is very unpolished and seems very lack luster from what was originally shown. Pretty sure the game was going to be longer but they just chopped it together as quick as they could
It looks like only the truth ending has it. the only difference is what happens with the car, with one text saying that all info help the town be relevant and stuff. while another just says that either you warned your wife and she's safe or that you didn't and she's dead. the other endings just cut before actually ending

the "Good" ending is the one where you try to sacrifice yourself, and the doc gets the poison, but you all get taken by mother. the "True" ending is the one where Paul and Sarah escape and axe the Doc's car. the "Bad" endings are the other ones, where either Sarah dies, Pail dies, or a combination of two or more when Paul mutates.
@@geoffreyburr5378I’m not sure what the point of your comment is. I think you misread their reply. That’s the true ending, which they said that one… The true ending Doc is the only one taken by Mother, and Paul and Sarah escape and use the axe on Doc’s car.
@@Allednilv Well it's quite clear what they meant. According to the description of the 'good' ending, that one is missing in this video, because there is no ending shown where the doc AND Paul and Sarah get taken by the 'mother'. As the good ending, this vid ONLY had the true ending. Also his wife got killed in this one - so not sure if the ending shown here really is the 'true' ending. Edit: There does seem to exist an ending where the wife survives, the doc gets poisoned and fed to mother and Sarah and Paul both survive. In that ending, Paul instead of breaking the car in the end, just takes it. So this vid definitely omits some endings.
Gotta be the biggest disappointment of this year. I know the main Screenwriter passed away, something that would probably have been heavy to the entire team... But they couldn't just... delay the game to make it at least good? Out of writing, we are talking about: Awful animations, terrible reactions, softlocking bugs, visual bugs; and on top of all that, the actual writing that is more than awful. Seems like some gacha game that makes a mindblowing intro but is the worst game when you get to play the rest of it. It's painful to watch. And i know this last thing will sound very very bad, more than anything i just said, but why in hell the devs thought it will be a good idea to make the main villain the person who died???????? And make you kill him multiple times??????????????? Makes me think they just hated the guy and rush the game so they can get profit and kill the game with it's creator, and i will have two cents if that is the case .__. (Edit: And if anyone is reading this. The voices are made by AI since in the credits there is not a single real name in the characters voice section. So yeah, this game was not only rushed, but they literally piss on the body of the screenwriter as well)
@@kanzerkanz In the credits their names doesn't appear; there is just the name of the characters and nothing more (would be grateful if you share it :,p)
ManlyBadassHero let all of the credits play. I don’t know why people are saying the credits don’t show VAs, unless 1. They either patched them out to intentionally tarnish their own reputation 2. The patch bugged those credits 3. People are _skipping the credits_ before making a stink online about it 4. TH-camrs are skipping the credits and people are assuming that a sinkhole must be on the other side of the mountain. Tim Stephenson is the only one I can remember on hand, who owns a website and TH-cam channel in his name. His normal voice sounds just like Doc, so I’m more inclined to believe that voice direction was nonexistent - just look at how much work was put into Dust an Elysian Tale’s “Fidget Doll” recording session for a GOOD comparison.
Bro with endings like these, if I were the screenwriter in the credits and have THIS dedicated to me I'd resurect myself only to burn the production office down.
It’s frankly a disgrace. And if the producers of this trash think they can hide behind the death of the screenwriter as a way to shame people into not giving out legitimate criticism and calling out their rushed garbage work then they have another thing coming. This is a dishonor to him and it’s shameful they put this out in this state.
The fact that so many people think Alexander Dagan was a lead developer/director/any position other than screenwriter when it plainly says otherwise in the memorial slide for him is proof that we as a species are slowly loosing the ability to read with comprehension due to internet brainrot.
I’m glad you put emphasis on this guy being a “screenwriter” Because that means we can say the directors and writers are alive and conscious enough to deem this game worth publishing.
I just reread this comment and I gotta be honest The sad part is that I can’t refute this - people made papers on the correlation between iPad kids and the ability to read books. What was the longest you remember reading a book _without_ checking your socials?
I need the devs to give this game more love so baaaad, the concept is so interesting, cool, original, and they have huge potential to make a good game here... Everyone loves animals! I hope you use the money you earn on Steam to give an amazing update :((
Honestly, they should have released it as an early access rather than a finished product. As it is currently released, it has expectations placed on it which it simply does not meet. Not at it's current cost.
It may not be animal focused, but I think you’d like Still Wakes the Deep - similar premise of having a work environment from a handyman’s perspective, even further down on his luck as _something_ interrupts the day, leading to a stint full of body horror and prevention. Linear, minimal puzzles, but it introduces its monstrosities, makes them and its characters have presence in the story, and guess what The main characters act! Like people!
@palecaptainwolfkayls8499 Oh, I can certainly second that recommendation. It's a solid game with clear inspiration from Lovecraft and kronenberg, so if you like those themes you won't be disappointed.

Hahaha those last 2 endings. Doc infected him and knows he can turn into a bloodthirsty mutant any second. So what does Doc do when he doesn't hear anything anymore from the guy in the morning? He checks it out. In person. Alone. With only a flashlight. And while being as loud and uncareful as possible. And he's supposed to be the genius.
@@AdamMerlin Unfortunate that the guy died but that doesnt change my view on this games quality as it is. I've been looking forward to this game for a while and it's not what it should've been. Plot seems like its written by AI. Pacing is horrible. Voice acting sounds like AI. Animations are bad (the endings mainly). Looks like theres a lot of cut content. Bad visuals (mostly talking about the annoying overused glitch effects but also stuff like them cutting out the mutant transformation animations) Mutants hardly feel like a threat and the only redeeming quality with these "boss fights" is the added stress if you care about the creatures staying alive (optional lol) Here is how I would've done it (based on the trailer, gameplay and teaser material before the games release): I expected a more open game where you would be walking around most of the zoo instead of being restricted to just the enclosures and main station area. The train would be used as a kind of fast travel system. Instead of every creature being a dormant mutant, there would be a "Parasite" which would randomly hop between them and every creature would start off un-infected until the parasite attached to them. It would still be your task to keep the creatures healthy as they need to be in good health for the scientists to use them in experiments with this parasite. Now, instead of the company being inherently evil, we're gonna change things up and make it so that they aren't actually aware that a parasite escaped and you actually have to collect evidence, not only to keep the creatures (and your job) safe but also to convince the higher ups that the parasite has in fact escaped and that everyone is in danger. You are a known worker in the company instead of a new hire. The mutant would also behave slightly differently, turning in to more of an ambush predator that would try to lure you by imitating being sick and then triggering the mutation sequence and chasing after you and sometimes other animals if you stuck around it for too long or did too much research on it. which would aleady be way better than this dumb mutant behavior.
So much potential. Was definitely rushed l. Voice acting was bad, graphics were okay, story was awful, character design was poor, gameplay seemed repetitive but detailed, and half the enclosures arent accessibke yet (are they keeping these behind a paywall???). Like, the creepiest part about the game was when you find out the meat you use os human and you are introduced to Sarah, other than that, its not that scary. This game could have been a lot better with more open areas, more lore to uncover, more unique routines specific to which enclosure you visit, better voiceacting and character design, better plot. Not tonmention that the game doesnt have a proper tutorial. A lot of things shoukd be explained nore like how to cure the animals instead of having to lethal inject tbem when they are infected and mutate. The premise and idea of the game is great; very unique and new, but they absolutely butchered it. Maybe it would be more forgiving uf the gane was 5 to 10 bucks (CAD), but jesus, the price they have it at now is WAYYYY too expensive! Its a 2 hour game with a repetitive, boring gameplay loop, crappy story, and buggy as hell. Should have AT LEAST taken more time to develop the game and add more content, fix any potential bugs through playtests, finish the other enclosures, etc. etc. And people are trying to say that its okay for them to release such a game in this state because their writer passed away. Of course that is unfortunate and sad for the team, but i thinj it is EXTREMELY disrespectful to the writer to release a game as half baked as this one. They should have taken a break from development, and once they felt ready again, they should have hired a competent writer to take over where he left off. Because a member of their team dies isnt an excuse to release an unfinished game. If they cared enough, they would have taken however long they could to polish the game and add more content, but instead rushed and pushed oit a very very lackluster experience which I would say is kind of close to being a scam, considering how good the trailers make the concept out to be. Again, so much potential. Maybe they could do a complete overhaul update in the next year or two to fix it, but at its current state, this game is a hard pass.
If they really wanted to honor the screenwriter, they should have taken the time to slow down, finish the story to the best of their ability following any notes and drafts the screenwriter left behind and polished the hell out of it. I was looking forward to this game, it could have been so much more. The way this ended up it was like they were trying to cut losses and push out something, shame it's a mess.
They said there were something like 23 endings but it actually was you can change the order in how the story ends as from what we see it's literally the same 3 endings just butchered in different ways. This game was sadly rushed and just left a bad taste in my mouth after watching playthroughs of the game not to mention how difficult and confusing it is to figure out how to actually cure the infected animals and that the game forces you to do the same thing over and over again when helping the animals. The only good feature of the game was slowly unlocking the animals with the more endings you complete BUT THAT'S JUST THE THING! it wasn't slow, I've seen people finish an ending and then unlock almost all the animals in one go! It's a bad thing to have a game flop, but what is even worse is when it's a game with a unique idea that is highly anticipated to be played especially when they hype it up with teaser trailers. Now i know that when a game doesn't show much of the actual gameplay, it must be hiding something that would significantly lower the amount of people who would want to buy it. Point is, this was a disappointing result of people lacking in patients and motivation which was the leading cause to the overall flop of the game that could've been a massive success. (I understand if people may not want to read all of this)
*Why did the mother killed the protagonist...?* The fat guy LITERALLY told us that they dont attack who has the parasite for seeing us as one of them, so why didndt the mother picked the fat guy instead?

I understand how one of their people in their team unfortunately passed away, but I still think that they should've delayed the game instead of rushing it to get it completed but still end up unfinished. The beginning of the game I will admit was good but from there on it was a mess. Like I said before they should've delayed the game and get a new writer for if they could afford one, hopefully they work on the game as time goes on, I know there was potential in it if they were patient enough
The VAs do have credits, only one I can remember being Tim Stephenson, voice of Doc. Stephenson has a website and a TH-cam channel. Both of which have examples of him using his normal reading voice, which sounds exactly like Doc… Leading me to believe “No, this game isn’t AI voiced; instead, the voice actors were given ZERO direction.” Judging by the “quality” of the game (being various performance issues and softlock bugs), it also sounds like every line that lacks a pause is where a line break is *supposed* to go.
I am so unbelievably sad. This game looked so good and super scary, the concept alone is really good! But the execution is so boring and souless! I feel so sorry for the screenwriter, he must've really had a vision for this story before he passed but the final game just feels so dull and rushed. Things I like: I really love the idea of us as the player being infected during the game, it gives a sence of urgency for what's at stake. The monster models are very creative and uncanny and I wish we had the human version too, since those mutated hands looked really good. I also like that there's a kidnapped jurnalist, it makes sence that someone like that would want to investigate this place and end up kidnapped. Things I don't like: the whole idea of us being infected doesn't really affect the playthrough besides giving us random throw up scenes. They could've added some sort of temptation for eating the carnivore's meal when preparing it, or maybe when facing a mutated animal we hesitate to hurt them, things that could maybe show us how bad it's getting and show how it's messing with our head. I think the animations are pretty mid and not that scary as the monster models look in pictures for the game's promotion. With all of their freaky limbs and extra parts they could've gone much further animating them. I also think they should at least threaten us somewhat even if we're infected because it just feels pointless to have a monster that won't hurt the player. And lastly, for a reporter who was about to be made into meat cubes, she's not very grateful and aparently doesn't trust us but then we're friends? And she seems far to calm during all of the game since we see her with clothes on. Actually, most characters are WAYY too chill, I get it from Doc because he's the bad guy and already knows what's up, but if someone said I was infected with something that would turn me into a monster I would absolutely FLIP. And there's also the fact that in the original version of the game, half of her boobs are showing every single time we see her, you're really telling me she couldn't find ANYTHING else to put on? They 'fixed it' by giving ger a bra out of nowhere but like- why was that a problem to beguin with? Where did she find that overall and why wasn't there anything else with it?? Ok.... this is getting long. I don't think anyone's gonna read this LMAO, oh well. There's my take on this game.
sooo we got that parasite? and that stops the mutants from attacking us? and we learn that really early when talking to the doc on the phone... is this a horror game or a walking/poo collecting simulator? where is the threat if you know the animals won't kill you anyway? you just do chores untill you get the final cutscene? weird concept!
I think the game is absolutely amazing! An unpopular opinion but I think for a game that's very original, they did what they thought they could and I respect that! Perhaps in the future it could be updated to have a better outcome, but for now, I'm not fussing with what I have.
Call me whatever you want, Whine in the replies about how it’s not good, But I think it's fairly decent. One of the Devs of the game Sadly died, but it still turned out fairly alright. Yes, some of the endings are Definitely Bad, But when I saw it I thought it was a (For the most part) well made game that’s fun. Despite it being short, It Could have been a lot worse. And I think once people Find someone that says something is bad, They will just blindly follow them. So, In my opinion, It’s Definitely A Game.
I think all the pieces of a good game are here... If all the animals were fought in one continuous night including a final boss with Mother it would have been fine.
I had another ending. When we made injection to kill Mother and inject it into the Doc, Mother didn`t die and ate all of us. I don`t remember what have I done, to this ending.

I’m not even talking about the bugs; the story, gameplay, and horror are either half-baked or fall flat. Of course these have solutions, but that requires an overhaul of the game we will be unlikely to see from this studio.
These flaws could only be worsened if it were a chapter-based system _(and previously HAVE NOT went well with Clapperheads’ previous game)._
Look at BATIM, Poppy’s, Banban, and Indigo Park; they’re all chapter based because they need the funds…and they’re making the game or the story as they go, regardless of quality or integrity.
How did he dead
let me tell you guys something. ifn someone in the devoloper team died, doesn't mean that we have to lie about the goods and the bads of this game. the bad things, this game is way too short and didn't lift up the expectation. also, the voice acting is not good. i know that the guy who responsible for writing the stroyline are dead. but, we have to treat his game fairly. bad is bad, good is good. don't overrating it or overhating it. the good things of this game, it can make the player have fun with treating animals. but the endings are horrible... if they can't do good endings because of their story writer has died. then, why don't they delay the release date of zoochosis? i bet that many people will respect their choice. the sudden death of one of your partners isn't an easy thing to deal with.

Hello? Based department?
Yeh, I found your missing agent
TBH, even if the endings were kinda wonky, the gameplay was repetitive after the second enclosure, since all the checklists are the same for each animal, only difference is just food type, which the gameplay isn't even different anyway
@@GameFuMaster For me, i dont think that this is the completed version of zoochosis. imagine if one of the member didn't died. maybe, they couls change the endings to be a bit more worthy to be remembered. other things though, they still have to gain more experience to make a better game than this. and for god sake, hiring some professional voic actors is a "must do" thing. the boss fight is meh, i thought that the player could have a fight with the mother at the end. but no. also, there's a speedrun videos for this game already. can you imagine that? crazy.
@@tpssc3 the man was okay IMO, the woman was a bit under average, but serviceable for a indie title.

Since Paul is infected and he is now one of them, why the Mother grabs him and kills him instead of grabbing the Doc?
Well done, you can think critically. The answer for that is "lmao", because the devs rushed the game after the screenwriter died and couldn't be bothered to polish it fully.
It seems like anything infected by The Mother needs eats infected meat, such as the humans Doc syringes before grinding (like Paul in the AFK ending),
which ironically leads to these things having a cannibalistic life cycle.
Not sure why they can only reproduce through Mother though. Or why The Mother wants live food.

Which one is the good ending, and which one is the true ending? All I can tell is the last one is the bad ending.
the "Good" ending is the one where you try to sacrifice yourself, and the doc gets the poison, but you all get taken by mother. the "True" ending is the one where Paul and Sarah escape and axe the Doc's car. the "Bad" endings are the other ones, where either Sarah dies, Pail dies, or a combination of two or more when Paul mutates.
@@ahritheweird9579 Then the good ending is missing, because only the doc gets taken by the "mother".
So yeah, this game was not only rushed, but they literally piss on the body of the screenwriter as well)
idk where did you get this info about AI, lol. the voice actors are real people - literally found an article about them on Dot Esports.
@@kanzerkanz In the credits their names doesn't appear; there is just the name of the characters and nothing more (would be grateful if you share it :,p)
ManlyBadassHero let all of the credits play. I don’t know why people are saying the credits don’t show VAs, unless
1. They either patched them out to intentionally tarnish their own reputation
2. The patch bugged those credits
3. People are _skipping the credits_ before making a stink online about it

Totally agreed. This is the prime example of GOOD IDEA BAD EXECUTION

@@AdamMerlinwhat

@@AdamMerlin Unfortunate that the guy died but that doesnt change my view on this games quality as it is.
I've been looking forward to this game for a while and it's not what it should've been.
Plot seems like its written by AI.
Pacing is horrible.
Voice acting sounds like AI.
Animations are bad (the endings mainly).
Looks like theres a lot of cut content.
Bad visuals (mostly talking about the annoying overused glitch effects but also stuff like them cutting out the mutant transformation animations)
Mutants hardly feel like a threat and the only redeeming quality with these "boss fights" is the added stress if you care about the creatures staying alive (optional lol)
Here is how I would've done it (based on the trailer, gameplay and teaser material before the games release): I expected a more open game where you would be walking around most of the zoo instead of being restricted to just the enclosures and main station area.
(I understand if people may not want to read all of this)
This game looks like still wakes the deep, but the storyline is like a Roblox game made in 2013
Concept-wise, thas what _I’m_ sayin!
Well, I can't wait to hear about this game again after 10 years when it's getting a deluxe remaster

Judging by the “quality” of the game (being various performance issues and softlock bugs), it also sounds like every line that lacks a pause is where a line break is *supposed* to go.

@@REDORBOCSThe main dev died for fucks sakes! Are you BLIND!
@@AdamMerlin Y'all are blind for actually defending the game. The game's quality being so bad because it was rushed is a major insult to the deceased screenwriter's works.
@@vantablacc3264 it doesn’t take away the fact that it still looks bad?
alexander must be turning in his grave
this game feels so damn rushed and unfinished
What a mess, so you quite literally end up alone or dead because the wife dies regardless. Those endings feel rushed.
To The people saying this sucks, just remember the LEAD designer of the game DIED during the production.
What
They released the game as if it's a final product, not an early access. They released the game without any play testing or beta testing. Death of the screenwriter doesn't excuse the quality of the game. In fact, it's a major insult to the screenwriter for how they made his work horrendous and full of inconsistencies instead of developing the game further, rushing and releasing it without polish. Just goes to show how immature your thinking skills is. Toxic positivity is toxic for a reason.
Also it's the screenwriter who died. Idk where you got the information of him being the lead designer but the game specifically states that he was the screenwriter in the production. You're already 1 strike for handing out False information.
@@vantablacc3264yeah it’s nuts how much people are excusing this over priced, trash heap of a game because the screenwriter died. He wasn’t making the entire game by himself or anything, seems pretty half-assed if you ask me.
Sorry to break it to you but no one fucking cares that he died if the game is shit, might as well cancelled it or waited a little bit longer to honor him instead of rushing a half baked game just to grab money with the work of someone that isnt with us
i was gonna comment out the current situation of the gaming industry.but didn't want to make a novel sentence though.and have drama in it

The game had a very original idea but it was poorly executed.
I think in my opinion the true ending is when only the protagonist comes out.
is this game finished or just an early version
Finished, in more ways the one.
It's sold on steam as a finished product rather than an early access. Make of that what you will.
Bruh they should hire me for the voice acting
bruh it is not all of them devs sayyed there was 23 ending dont rush em all it all mess
hay un final mas, que falta aqui, hay un final donde cuando abren la puerta y le injectan a Doc el liquido, pues si "madre" coje a doc pero a la vez coje a la chica y a nosotros a la vez matandonos a todos
what's the password form CJ floppy disk. I dont save the journalist and i do all by myself but i cant find the password
Game seems extremely slow paced
So the villain is the screenwriter
And he's die eaten by the mother?
Poor screen writer 😢
Anyone else think Paul looks like an off brand Vinny from jersey shore?
Caseoh sold
this game is just straight up disrespecting to the dead developer
Hmm CJ i wonder where that came from
The endings are hella bad
7:25 her scream here is hilarious 😂 also I didn't know they charged $22 for this trash lol that sucks
