grasshoppers do, and can drink water, just like most bugs. They cant drink from puddles obviously, so they drink small water droplets. this can be observed if you have a pet. Most of the people complaining about theirs dying after two days, are killing them with dehydration.

I saved a big ol hopper from drowning earlier and he loves me wont even let go of my finger until he bit me so I put him in a bowl with some lettuce and he seems happy

I found a grasshopper that doesn't move much and is the same size as my pinky nail. It's not injured or anything. I built it a small environment to live. Is it a baby or is it just small?? I'm not sure. It looks comfortable so🤷‍♀️
