    Sounds nice. The guitar also looks good, so time and money well invested.🙂

      Indeed it is! I only had it for a brief period but I tried others and it’s a good simple T style

    They might have changed the TE20 since you got yours. Mine came a couple of days ago and the EZ Lok tuners fit perfectly, no issues with screw holes or the fasteners. The washers that came with the EZ Loks aren't flat, so that's possibly the difference.

    Great easy mods! I have the cabronita t style they did and its amazing with their filtertron pickups. Was thinking of getting a telecaster and modding it so this helps a lot! BTW nice Rosie cover!

      Thank you and I was looking at that one the t90
      FLT its such a cool concept guitar, filtertrons and reversed headstock, was just a bit over my budget

    Very nicely done. I have done a few things so far as well. I just put Fender string trees on it today. Also compensated brass saddles. I went from a 9 to my Earnie Ball 8. Played them all my life so too late to change now. Setup was called for with that change. I shielded mine as well. Tuners are next up. I like what you did to adjust for the thinner headstock. Simple and effective. Not sure what I want to do on pickups yet. I want a set that sounds Jazzy or Bluesy..... I have been looking at the Wilkinson’s and know they are nice but am trying to determine the bes resistance for the sounds I want to achieve.
    Thanks for your video. I enjoyed seeing what you did.

    Let us see more of the guitar being played by you than you playing guitar. Nice honest review and interesting to see how different it turns out after changing parts.

    Hi Rafael ! Nice reviews. I just ordered an TE-20! Could you please give some info (maker /model) on the black hollow body behind you?

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thank you. Congrats I’m sure you will enjoy the te20. So the black semi hollow was a gift. It was made by an English luthier called Pete back. It’s similar to a Gibson or epiphone 135

    I tried to insert the Wilkinson brass saddlers but they don't work. When bending the strings move and touch the screws👎

    Hello there. Thanks for review! I have a question: is there a routing in the body to swap neck neck single coil with humbucker?

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      K0Lder I don’t know that it’s the case for al the bodies but this one did have a humbucker route and I have seen mods on Facebook of people that did put humbucker on the neck

    Rafa, essa guitarra vale mesmo a pena ? Tipo pelo custo benefício ela vale o que custa ? Cerca de 80€? Aquele abraço!!

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A minha opinião é que vale a pena se quiseres uma guitarra deste estilo e não queres gastar mais do que €245 se quiseres ou puderes gastar mais ha a Squier standard e classic vibe. Tendo dito isso também há outras telecasters Harley Benton mas não tem estas cores nem fretboard em maple que foi o que atraiu. Portanto por €80 euros vale a pena . Mas se queres uma ferramenta profissional se calhar é melhor gastar um pouco mais noutras alternativas.

      Rafael Jesus pô rafa eu peguei aquela ST- DG 57... refleti muito! Squier strato estava pelo mesmo valor, mas a HB me atraiu pela sua beleza e também pelos relatos que vi aqui no TH-cam!! Mas quero “Tuna-la” saca, por uns caps

      Hi Rafael, I’ve started the mods and in terms of the picks ups can I just go ahead and buy telecaster pickups and fit them ( Wilkinson’s) or do I have to pay particular attention to the pickup size? Thanks Liam

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Liam Smyth you can get normal standard size pickups without worries. Regarding the tuners, as I said in the video what I found was that the headstock thinner than usual and had to use an extra washer to keep the replacement tuners held

  • @frakognome4434
    @frakognome4434 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why changing the tuners and then put the strings in that nightmare way? Just keep the stock ones, and put the strings in a proper way. Just my 0.2 opinion. Anyway, unless you've got a floating bridge you do not need locking tuners. This isn't a S-style guitar.

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might be right, the Wilkinson tuners are easier to tune though, the mechanism is smoother

  • @richardrichard5409
    @richardrichard5409 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video thanks.
    I always wonder why owners buy cheap and then change everything bar the body and neck......might as well buy a Squier in the first place🤔😉

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sometimes you can get affordable parts that justify modding a cheap guitar. Also a Squier doesn’t always have desirable hardware and is more expensive than this. But each to its own off course :)

    • @richardrichard5409
      @richardrichard5409 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Let me completely change that, just bought two Squiers and the quality was awful.....then picked up a cheap Harley Benton strat and the build, action and tone is amazing 😎

    • @piemmetubo

      For sake of experiments! When you mod a cheap guitar, you have more fun, less anxiety, and you feel happy when you hear the improvements! 😎

    Hi, I hope someone can help! I've got a TE20 and I've started to mod it. I've got Tex Mex pups to put in. But the existing ones only have one wire from them (and an old looking switch to wire to…where the one wire from each pup splits into two) and the Tex Mex ones have two wires right from the pickups! Any advice at all guys as I don't want to blow anything up, including me!

    • @MrRafaztar
      @MrRafaztar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different brands put the wired differently but it doesn’t matter as long as you put live in the switch and ground in a pot you are good to go
