@@kalpeshvedak Exactly in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron there is a big Mahabharat and Mughal Empire Reference in that climax scene, and since they've no knowledge about Mahabharat or the Mughal Empire, they will never get the jokes, and watching a movie without understanding the references will be like eating a bread without butter. I've repeatedly requested them to learn about our history, our epics, bcoz half of our movies have plots referring to all these historical events, they don't know the history, but they want to watch , and after watching they'll be like we didn't find it funny, we didn't find it emotional, it's like watching Ben Hur, without knowing anything about Jesus's life, Ben Hur is a masterpiece bagging 11 Oscar's, but I'm sure if someone hasn't known the story of Jesus, he or she won't be able to like the movie that much.

@@Fe-ironman salman was actually side character in this film..he was not in the main character in this film.& i'm talking about his acting skills..he was far better actor in 90s.aamir was nothing infront of him in 90s..now aamir is better actor than salman..because nowdays salman doesn't act in films

5:50 Crime master GOGO was not in original script. Original script had Mogamabo and Amarish Puri cast for it. But something happen to him and he could not shoot the film. So it was replaced with Crime master GOGO, that's why there is still reference to Mogambo. You are getting some laughs but missing majority of it because of translation (English making it bland) and not getting some other references.
After watching it you should definitely have to watch "25 years of Andaz apna apna" an interview of raj santoshi(director) with rajeev masand. Its interesting one and reveals more fun from the movie.

Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are not even remotely close ethnically. Paresh Rawal was born in Mumbai in a Gujarati family, so his mother tongue is Gujarati. His Hindi also has a slight Mumbai Gujarati twang, but not very noticeable. Being from Mumbai, it's also why he plays Maharashtrian characters with such ease, since his most iconic character is a very stereotypical Marathi guy. Nawaz on the other hand is from Uttar Pradesh & is a native Hindi/Urdu speaker. He can speak both his dialect of Hindi & neutral Hindi with ease.
Language isn't the only barrier in enjoying Indian movies especially comedies. Much up these rely on pop culture references. It's the same as watching "Ready Player One" without watching popular movies like Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Back to the future, Aliens, Chucky, Shining, etc.
