You can see mutual respect between the Chinese and Tanzanian in laws. I am sure Lawu will adapt well if she gets married in China. Felista and Lawu have been raised well by their parents.
That is a good and patient man. Family-oriented, too. He is husband material, and the family is loving. She should really consider him as a spouse. Plus, his character and family are already known to those closest to Fei. It's much better than a random stranger. He can take care of her, show her new places and people, teach her how to cook and the language patiently. She, in return, gives him companionship and a family, which he seems to want.

We only get to see a glimpse of these people’s lives in the videos. I’m sure there’s a lot of communications and agreements behind the scenes that we don’t know. Her sister decided to go to China for a reason and their parents in Africa must know what is happening as well. I chose not to pass judgement on the process and trust that all families involved are aware of the situation. Felista loves and respects her sister so I’m sure she is not doing anything that her elder sister does not want. She respects her sister so I think she’s just trying to make the situation a little more manageable.

It must be remembered that,at some point in Tanzania,Felista,s mom ,encouraged Zheng or Lao Li to marry one of her daughters.Zheng,s response was that he is already married with one child.
The mother could not have broached this subject if the dsughter/ daughters were deadset against it.They would have been tacit agreement amongst her daughters that they had to find " love" and she came along to China to do that.There is nothing negative about it if all parties are in agreement.We have to be cognisant of the differences in culture all around the world.

Are things so bad in Tanzania that she needs to do this? Lao Li is young. Its older men who havent been able to find Chinese wives that look to be match made in this way with foreigners. She has to give up her culture and wont see her family often except her sister. She has to learn new language and adapt Chinese culture. Hope she is ready for that. Some can but not all . Also no hope of getting Chinese citizenship so there is some risk.

I've read a lot of you all comments and I have also made a few comments. I wonder if anyone has noticed from all the videos that we've seen in Africa and in China, that Feli, her sister Lawu and their family is not afraid of hard work!! These people plant the land, collect water from a distance, they rear animals, I can go on and on. I can't do quarter of what they do. Which ever way it works out , it's for them to decide. They are adults, leave them alone!!
I suspect that was the reason for Lawu's travel to China. 😊 The suitor is known by friends and family and he seems very eager to impress. Take a leap of faith - who knows, life is too short. 😊
Also, Lo li travelled to Tanzania to be the ambassador and "scout" for the blind date family.Lo li did help the family a lot and maybe in part, to provide good impression for his godbrother.

This is such a good, authentic video of the blind date for Lawu. Although I find this video very interesting and heart-warming, I do feel sorry for Lawu that her blind date was a public affair witnessed by all Felista's viewers because this is not a scripted video but an unrehearsed event. Having said that, I'm truly happy for Lawu and hope that she finds her fulfilment in China.

This is a very humble, rural community. I think it's actually bottom 20% of China's wealth. But there are also features that every rural African should be able to appreciate - the sense of community, mutual help, family values, etc. There is a language barrier, but the cultural barrier is lower than you might imagine.
So I feel this is a lot more healthy than some mail order bride just desperate to get a US green card.
