That happened to me too! So cool how Bible reading can go from a chore to a real desire in our hearts! Praise God. And that intro👌 Sick editing cuts, Becca :)
But the real trick is to be with God all the time, not just 1 hour a day when you're reading Bible, so when you're going to school, work, driving a car, taking a bus etc, pray to God, talk to him, think of him. But this routine is a great place to start. Bless you.
There is no trick in spending time with God, it's personal time set aside, in addition to keeping him with you every where you go..ur mind, heart and soul yes, But God also know we have daily routine in where you don't that personal moment other than bathroom, breaks, lunches just depending that God does knows .

I really appreciate that you mentioned that people might judge you for being a “Jesus freak” because my siblings who are Christians always judge me for being “too Christian” because I get so excited about Jesus! But it was just nice to know that I’m not alone :-) And you are so right- it’s the best kind of crazy!

ME TOO ABOUT THE SIBLINGS THING!!! my whole immediate family are Christians, but they think i’m crazy for reading my Bible everyday! my best tip is not to get discouraged because you can totally be a witness to them to grow stronger in their faith. psalm 34 is super encouraging about this kind of stuff!! praying for you 💖
Yes, don't let anyone else's cynicism slow you down. When people think it's weird, it's usually because they just haven't seen or experienced the things in God that you are seeing and experiencing. They don't know what they're missing, but there might be a discomfort for them because your different behavior might be suggesting to their subconscious that there is something that they *are* missing, and that makes them uncomfortable. If they get you to stop that behavior, the reminder of that goes away, and they feel more comfortable again. This is a good example of when being comfortable is not the best thing! So keep doing what you're doing, and I bless you to keep growing closer and closer to God.
This is surprisingly really common, Christians who make comments about others being "too Christitan". Don't ever get discouraged, you can never be "too" thirsty for God's word :)
Honestly your heart is so beautiful because you want to be faithful to God! I'm sure when you all grow up they will appreciate how much you care. sometimes is hard being young and comfront peer pressure but keep your heart fix in God, it's so worthy! Love the editing in your intro!! And love how you talked right away about not comparing yourself, and how you said that at first reading the Bible was a chore. That was true for me to! My mom likes to say that discipline precedes freedom. Meaning that as we start the disciplines it often starts as hard work but it brings so much freedom and life in our walk with God as we stick with it.
My closest friend is really struggling with a few things and I suggested she get up just 15 minutes earlier and we could pray over the phone. I don't have much a morning routine and I'm excited to get into prayer every morning which made this video a providential thing. Thank you for your honesty in all your videos about your struggles. I thank God for this ministry.

Social media sucks you in! I just started a set routine, because I used to "find time when I could" to read the Bible. Now I wake up earlier and start my day with God. Best thing I have done!

I love spending time with God first thing in the morning! Since I’m currently in high school, I don’t have that much time in the morning yet I still make time for God! I usually read some on my favorite Bible verses then pray over my day. After that I get ready and while I’m doing that I read the Bible verse sticky notes that I have around my room! I love Jesus Christ so much and I love growing more in my faith daily! (I love your channel Becca and I love watching videos like this! Great vid :) 😊)

I tend to leave my phone to charge (turned off) in the morning for about 1 hour and during that time I study the bible and usually I would get about 90%charged

I understand why you had to explain at the beginning but I wish you didn’t. I think the fact that you are willing to share your love of God on here is amazing and enough. Thank you. I work at home so I try to start my day off with bible and God time and I listen to worship music through the day also.
sigh, your devotional in a spiritual level when your there, i don't wanna say you need to be there now, but when your ready your devotional will reveal that you don't have to explain yourself on being the best person you can for God, they will will never get it fully till there, everyone has a different timeline of understand. spend the explanation time with with the Exciting part about you, God loves to hear about the relationship, not the excuse, noooo excuses, just you and praise! eeeeck! Such a totally awesome video! It is nice knowing I'm not the only one overly prepared with my bible, multiple devotionals, and journals all ready to go for that priceless alone time with God :) I never know quite what I'll need to get my heart and mind going and satisfy that thirst, so you know...options are good!
I am always busy in the morning and late and I usually read my bible and pray but now I’ve realized I have to make time for him and do more for him because he does so much for me and having a devotional morning and night routine is a great start. Thank you for making this video!!

I liked listening to an audio version of the Bible while doing my hair and getting ready after showering before school. Then I'd read my daily devotional. It definitely made a difference in my day

I love that everyone one does it different. Usually it’s at night or after work. I read the Bible (I’ve read the whole thing and now just read different books) sometimes I’ll do a you version plan. I write in a prayer journal and usually read another type of book, sometimes theological, but not always. Currently I’m reading Brene Brown’s rising strong. I also have Spotify on (not always worship, but some kind of chill/study music) pens, highlighters, headphones, moleskine notebook (and bible of course) are a must!
I work at a nursing home and I see people dying and I’m thankful for even the breath I breath at the moment and it really shows me that life is so short we must be in the word all the time
thank goodness I’m not the only one who crashes on their couch to eat breakfast lol and reads their Bible aloud! it’s so much easier for me to comprehend what I’m reading when I actually read it out loud, idk why.
Pray for me yall, I'm addicted to pornography, I feel like my relationship with JESUS is growing, I've come a long way, it's just this sin is grabbing me by the throat, I really want to stop but the temptation is strong.
M elmer hey I know how that feels. But I'd say just pray about it. God really can do amazing things in life and my advice to you is to keep on having faith. Remember that God has defeated Satan and if you think that your lost and you can't get out of it, well there is a way and thats Jesus. Keep on praying brother, ill be praying as well. :)

M elmer many prayers lifted to you. Lust was a huge thing I dealed with especially spiritually feeling close to God. And now having conquered it, meaning when temptations come I don't give in that's when I get real with God and literally say what I'm feeling and that any feeling of that should only be with my husband the guy you have for me. That has helped me tremendously, that raw honestly is what God likes because your confessing it. That gives room for him to deliver you and set you free. Praying for you. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

It was a chore for me too for awhile and then I started enjoying it and looking forward to reading and I prayed all throughout the day, but recently I noticed that I haven’t been reading or praying hardly at all and I don’t know why. I just don’t feel like it but I keep telling myself it doesn’t matter if I feel like it or not, I should just do it anyway.

my morning routine begins at night, before going to bed, praying either The Holy Rosary or the Jesus Prayer. That way I'll wake up craving that alone time with Him again. And each week I learn a new prayer in English since my mother language is Spanish. Last week I learned the Glory Be and right now the Our Father it's resisting a little bit tbh, but this is something recent, I'm still getting used to

Same thing with me, when I used to wake up in the morning and go on social media it was just kind of depressing but now in the morning I like to pray and read a verse to get me ready for the day. But I find that most social media has a negative effect on me so I try to avoid it now. I’ve kept youtube for the reason of watching your Godly videos and Godly videos from others. Thanks for reminding me to stay in touch with God. ❤️

Love this! I agree with starting with thanksgiving in prayer. We did a sermon series at church one time where we studied the Lords prayer to start off with. So now I repeat that almost always during my devotional time.
