It's pretty buggered up there now..the rain and the traffic have worn away at the first 1.5 km section but it gets abit easier until you get closer to the hut

Good video but you are not aloud to camp of the tukini ski road I would take this video of if that's were you were camping as doc and the iwi are starting to prosecute people for camping there.

All my research say it is one way.

The 42 Traverse is a one-way 46 km multi-use track through the Tongariro Forest Conservation Area.
