I almost drowned together with my 5 cousins in a salty lake.it was the only way home and the bridge was overflowed but when you ae a kid you don't see that as danger you see it as adventious. But God is good , people came for our rescue and had to feel some of my cousins on the lake floor
Glad you were rescued. I look back on some of the things I did as a child and wonder why I didn't know better. Maybe we learn through experiences as we go through life.
Do we all visualize the boys being their own & imagine how their Mom felt? It hurts too much! People in the rescue & medical field= GOD. Incredible careers!
Chloe...well said. Don't forget to tell your brother and sister that you love them! Unfortunately we live in a crazy world with accidents, wars, and viruses (unfortunately), and we need to take care of those we love, and those that love us!
I'm watching this asking myself, "where are the divers"? not one of them has a wet suit that won't float? goggles? not even a snorkel? that's why this boy spent so much time under water. Really terrible situation. If they had been better prepared to face this kind of an event, Christopher would be alive today. I was glad to hear at the end of the episode, that the fire department assembled a diving team for future rescues. A real tragedy. That's why you always obey your parents when they caution you about possible dangers. Disobedience can be a real killer.
wet suits are made from neoprene, they all float. so are DRY SUITS, which is what they were wearing. if you're in freezing water you want to stay DRY not WET. it is unfortunate there was no diver ready, but the first responders dont deserve any blame. it was the boys and their parents who deserve all of the blame.
That lady playing the mom deserves an award, dude. I actively avoid emotion and I still sniffled a little when she was screaming for their names at the side of the lake. Reminds me of that one actress that always plays the scared, badass heroine in scary movies...what's her name...*Googling*... Vera Farmiga! That's the one. Anyways, yeah, good acting.
haha - that's me. My real son played the younger brother. And this is the one and only time I've done acting, so appreciate the compliment! (I am the furthest thing from an actress!)
There were actually 3 boys that fell in and a 4th who got help. I wonder if the 3rd kids family didn't give consent to have the story told. One died 2 survived and 1 ran for help.
Only two fell in because at the beginning 3 boys are fighting with snowballs one fell in then one went for help and the other one tried to save him but fell in himself RIP
ive watched so many of these episodes and finally, this is the one that broke my heart. My heart goes out to that mothers heart. omgoodness, i couldnt imagine going thru what she has went thru.
This is unbelievably devastating and heartbreaking. I was hopeful that both brothers would survive. Man was I in for a rude awakening. God bless Christopher's little soul. I hope and pray Tommy has recovered mentally. Tommy is such brave little hero. Putting his life on the line to save his brother. It's crazy how that ice cold water can preserve your organs and brain. Extending your chances to live after drowning for so long. It's amazing how God really works in mysterious ways. 🤯 😢 💔
Thank God for first responders. Kids don't want to listen when you tell them not to do something. I was guilty of that also as a child. Didn't realize so many children drowned each year.
That took a big turn. Imagine playing somewhere and takimg it as a joke and then the next thing you know your dead. I support this but why did they take the little boy off of support after a week??? If he was breathing on his own for almost an hour. He probably had a good chance at living. I know people who ate on support for years. That little boy couldve still have been alive if they had kept him on support longer. Rest in peace lil chris, i hope you have met my brother up there! I hope tommy is honored for his heroism. If only them fitefighters had found a solution erlier he would be at home happy.
that's what I thought too, kinda early to take him off life support! of course we don't know the whole medical history but nevertheless I wouldn't unplug my dears for at least a few months
I fell through ice when about 7 and my dad saved me we were always close but made us closer .He passed away a bit ago and I'll always remember how he watched over me and was my best friend as well as my Dad .i miss Him .
The comments from all the armchair heroes is atrocious. Since I'm sure not a single one has ever been in water that frigid before. I love how they all think it's the Bahamas and so easy to dive in those temperatures. If they enter the water without the suits, they have less the 2 minutes before they're unable to function, then need rescuing themselves. That's literally one dive. So they'd just end up with more rescuers needing rescue. These men and woman literally dedicate their lives to saving people. Have some respect! My suggestion to all you " heroes" is become a rescuer. Run into burning buildings, dive into freezing water, dangle from helicopters, repel down cliffs, and be the Hero that risks their life everyday to save complete strangers...... Otherwise, Shutup.
Exactly well said I got so angry reading these . My dad is a fireman and his stories break my heart. The worst thing he ever told me was at the scene of an accident he approached the car and could see the driver from the shoulders down hands on steering wheel. The top of the car was crushed. When he bent down to look in properly he realized the woman was completely decapitated . He drank very heavily for a period of time after that. I think it was ptsd but he pulled himself together and retired years later after many many more horrendous experiences.
This just breaks my heart. This goes to show you just exactly how far and how I don’t know how to describe it just how there’s no limits on what you will do for your family
It feels as if was too early to remove support machine for Christopher. My friend stayed nearly two weeks in coma and she kicked it back to life. So sorry for the family loss.
What a terrible loss of one brother. How parents allow their children to roam about their neighborhoods without parental supervision is beyond me. Such a preventable death.
One of my cousins died in the eighties after falling through ice on a lake. The rescuers could see him through the thick clear ice after he drifted underwater a bit but they couldn't get to him.
But I don't trust doctors fully especially after I've been told things like someone would never see again so their eye needed taken out but I refused and a week later they could see perfectly.
Tommy, you’re a true hero. Chris is with you and thanks you 24/7 for doing what you did! Doctors were outstanding for what they did. Just the fact that they continued to work on these young boys…… gosh.. I wish I could talk to the mom. Would love to give her a reading!
If you are attempting to rescue someone who has fallen in ice here is how to do so safely. Step 1. Immediately call 911 or have someone else immediately call 911. Then tell the dispatchers about the situation so that way they can call technical rescue teams or other first responders who are trained in ice rescue and get them to respond to the scene. Step 2. Prevent anyone else from entering the icy area even if they are attempting to rescue them as you don’t want anyone else to become additional victims. The only exception to that would be first responders such as firefighters or technical rescue teams as they are properly trained and equipped to handle the situation. Step 3. Reach. If you can do so then attempt to reach the person by reaching out your hands and arms and then grab onto their hands and lift them out of the ice. Step 4. Throw. If the person is farther away but you are able to then throw something at the person that can float or that they can hold on to such as a rope, pole, or a live preserver. Then once the person has grabbed onto the item then pull the person closer to you if they are in the water while still dragging them out and then once they are close to you then lift them out. If they are on ice that hasn’t broken yet then keep pulling them until both you and the victim are off the icy water even those that haven’t broken yet. Step 5. Row. If the person is to far away and you are able to then get a boat and then once you are inside the boat then row to the victim. Once you have gotten to the victim then pull them out of the water while making sure that the boat won’t capsize. Once you have gotten the victim onto the boat then row back to where you were before and then get yourself and the victim completely off of the ice. If you still can’t reach the person and you aren’t properly trained on how to safely get onto the ice then do not enter the area under any circumstances and instead leave the rescue to first responders who are properly trained and equipped to preform the rescue safely. In addition once you get the victim out of the water and ice and if they aren’t breathing or don’t have a pulse then immediately preform cpr on the person by doing 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths. A good way to remember cpr is by singing the song staying alive by The Bee Gees as it is exactly 120 beats per minute which is what is needed for cpr. Continue doing 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths until the person regains consciousness and are breathing or until first responders arrive at the scene and take over.
If you do want to help a person who has fallen in ice then remember reach throw and row. After you or someone else has called 911 then if you can do so reach out your hands and arms to the person and then grab them and then lift them out. If you can’t reach them then either find something long that they can hold onto such as a rope or pole and then pull them out or if you can’t find anything long then after attaching a rope to it then throw something that can float such as a life preserver at the person and then after pulling it towards you then lift them out. Finally if you can’t reach them or if they are too far away then get a boat and then after getting inside the boat then row it towards the victim and once you have gotten to the victim then lift or pull them out onto the boat while making sure that the boat won’t capsize. Then after getting the person onto the boat then row the boat back to where you were before and then get yourself and the victim out of not only the body of water but also out of the body of ice. Remember however never put yourself in danger by going directly onto the body of ice as you won’t be able to help the person if you become a victim yourself. Instead if you are unable to get the victim out of the ice safely then leave the rescue to first responders as they are often professionals who are trained and equipped to safely preform an ice rescue.
This title is misleading, one of the boys did not survive. There should be a warning in case the death of a young child is a trigger for someone.. How heartbreaking.
They taught us ice safety in elementary school in NH. Including how to rescue someone without putting yourself in danger. Lie on your stomach and hold out a coat by the sleeve and back off if the ice creaks even a little. Jumping on ice that you were told was unsafe was drilled out of us by our teachers.

Tommy is a hero, God bless you young man, for trying your best until you almost die yourself to save your little brother. ❤ The best friend is a hero too for running and calling for help quickly so that the rescuer could come fast enough and managed to save one of the boys. 🙏❤

Don’t be sad, Christopher must be laughing with joy in Heaven, although he may be gone from this world, but it’s just the beginning spiritually, we will one day see him again :)

Tommy is a miracle! What FANTASTIC FIRST RESPONDERS AND UNBELIEVABLE MEDICAL TEAM!!!! YOU ALL ARE HEROES! I’m so sorry that Chris didn’t make it! 30 mins was such a long time to be submerged. Thank you to you all for your bravery, efforts and skills! This little guy had so many Angels that day snd God was working through you all to save this child.
There is a love/hate relationship I have with these type of videos 😩😩😩
I know that's exactly how I feel but when it's kids involved it breaks my heart ughh 😢💔

People please teach your kids to float at minimum and do not panick. Rip young man. This was so darn sad
Very heartbreaking. My heart hurt for christopher. But also i felt relieved that his brother was already save. Thankful to those rescuer for immediate response. They save one of the boys..
R.I.P Christopher😿 your family loved you deeply.
The beauty of siblings and good friends
What a tragic ending that Christopher passed 🥺 what a horrible thing for this family to go through. Thank god tommy made it, he must have been absolutely heart broken finding out his brother didn’t make it. So sad.
Millions of thanks to all doctors, nurses, medics, and hospital staffs !
How amazing are these rescuers, paramedics and doctors! How amazing are these kids!
Aw I cried so much and Christopher is looking down on his big brother and they will someday be together again.
I was exhausted too just by watching that first rescuer jumping up and down into the water.
I blame the floating suits
Me too,,it was wasting alot of time
Definitely the suits. I warn one and tried to dive under and I couldn't do it. The suit I was wearing was too buoyant. I was snorkeling.
Such a heartbreaking scene
Millions of thanks to our firefighters and our rescue teams !
Such a loss and condolences to his family, a miracle one boy made it I hope that rescue workers does not feel guilty he couldn't have been so much quicker had he known what he was doing. Life is so precious a child now a sweet angel gone but not forgotten
Rip Christopher 😢 i cried for him - felt the mothers heart, what a difficult situation - so sad! Glad his brother made it
I almost drowned together with my 5 cousins in a salty lake.it was the only way home and the bridge was overflowed but when you ae a kid you don't see that as danger you see it as adventious. But God is good , people came for our rescue and had to feel some of my cousins on the lake floor

Glad you were rescued. I look back on some of the things I did as a child and wonder why I didn't know better. Maybe we learn through experiences as we go through life.
Just sitting there and watching them drown is all they could do, this is heartbreaking.
For this mother the pain is Like no limit, no coment.
So sad cried when the little boy died was hoping they would both be okay
Felt so sorry for the 7 year old... No one should ever die this young... 😢🙏🏻
Do we all visualize the boys being their own & imagine how their Mom felt? It hurts too much! People in the rescue & medical field= GOD. Incredible careers!
I’m just crying in my bed right now I can’t tell you how sad I am I can’t imagine me going through this and my sister or brother passing away
Chloe...well said. Don't forget to tell your brother and sister that you love them! Unfortunately we live in a crazy world with accidents, wars, and viruses (unfortunately), and we need to take care of those we love, and those that love us!
best old brother in the world.... what a brave child
Awe poor mom I cried for her to lose your child poor kid knew no better thank God the other one recovered
he definitely knew, his mom told him not to
The real hero was the little boy who jumped in to help.

It's a total miracle to have them survive after 30mins under water!!!

Gracie Faith with reborn baby’s thank you very much 🥺❤️
that's what I thought too, kinda early to take him off life support! of course we don't know the whole medical history but nevertheless I wouldn't unplug my dears for at least a few months
“If only them firefighters had found a solution earlier he would be at home happy.” RIP Christopher, but why put the blame on the firefighters?
@@jennasuri4035 the only person to who has any blame is the mother and I’m pretty sure she has never forgiven herself
Well said. And I absolutely agree with you
Exactly well said I got so angry reading these .
YES! 🙌

I watch this video everyday after Christmas
This just breaks my heart. This goes to show you just exactly how far and how I don’t know how to describe it just how there’s no limits on what you will do for your family
By the severity of the situation I knew there was no way both of them were gonna survive.
How utterly tragic

I watch all these shows but as a father of 6 this one got me. Those poor boys and parents, I couldn't imagine.
BRAVO! To the first responders
It feels as if was too early to remove support machine for Christopher. My friend stayed nearly two weeks in coma and she kicked it back to life. So sorry for the family loss.
I was praying that both boys made it. Glad at least one survived. Great effort indeed from.all the rescuers and the medical staff
I feel so bad for that little boy I'm starting to cry
Wow!
That stuff was rough!
I'm glad things worked out better then they could have!
These life savers are hero’s and legends
What a terrible loss of one brother. How parents allow their children to roam about their neighborhoods without parental supervision is beyond me. Such a preventable death.
One of my cousins died in the eighties after falling through ice on a lake. The rescuers could see him through the thick clear ice after he drifted underwater a bit but they couldn't get to him.
OH I'm just crying uncontrollably for young Christopher because i have a 7 year old boy hope the family is doing better.
Rip beautiful angle fly high and sending prayers to him and his family you and your brother are so brave 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
THIS TEACHES US TO ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS
They should've kept Christopher on life support for at least a month considering he was breathing for forty minutes when they took him off it Tragic !
I would've kept him on for at least 2 weeks for sure.
But I don't trust doctors fully especially after I've been told things like someone would never see again so their eye needed taken out but I refused and a week later they could see perfectly.
Tommy is Hero.
Christopher is an Angel.
I hope Tommy has a Blessed life

How can people stay and look at this kids going under water? I would go there in a heartbeat
Hate and love the ending. I was SO hoping they were both going to make it thru. RIP precious boy.

All kids should have to watch this episode. His mom told him not to go near the pond. He promised he wouldn't but did anyway and he lost his life.
