I did maths and physics in high school but i would say the bartlett is not heavily math and physics focused comparing to programmes in Bath. However if you want to go super technical u can steer your project that way if thats what u want to research in.
Do they look at our drawing skills? If I take a look at all those accepted portfolios for Bartlett, they were all very good drawers who took A level Art, I didn’t take A level art so my drawing skills are not that good, but I’m confident with making models, will I still get a chance if I’m able to express my thoughts through different medias even if I’m not good at drawing?
You absolutely do have a chance. Skills are not what they are looking for. They are looking for expression of ideas no matter the medium. In my first year at the bartlett, one of our tutors encouraged as student to use real vegetables and fruits to make models lol. If you are good at making models, don't be afraid to show off.
hii! this is my dream school. im an international student so im wondering if my academics will put me in a disadvantage. i have gotten top grades in stem but i feel like since the quality of education in my country is poor, i dont have any chance of getting in inspite of my grades being good.i want to do bsc arch
Nice to e-meet you! I am not sure about the inner workings of the Bartlett admission team but while I was studying in the Bartlett there were definitely a lot of students from different parts of the world. Also grades are only one part of the admission process, your art portfolio counts as well! So definitely try to apply :)
Thank you for the video. I am from Indonesia and currently in second year of my university, i dream about study abroad in UCL for my Master, i have passion in Architectural Computing. Is there any different in portofolio for Master degree? Very appreciate the Video.
Hi, glad to hear that you are passionate about Architecture and Computing. I did my Masters in the Bartlett quite a while ago so I think my information might not be up to date. However, I think that most of the concept still applies for the Masters portfolio. For example, edit what you might show in the portfolio, eg. edit out the things that might not be your best work/might confuse people, strategically sequence the order in which you might show your work. Best of luck!
Is it technical? Like do you study maths or physics?
