    -- About BENETEAU --
    The first BENETEAU boats sailed from the shipyards of Croix-de-Vie over 135 years ago. Since that time, the BENETEAU brand has been synonymous with quality and innovation to all those who have taken to the water - first by the fishermen who made their livelihood from the sea and then by the legions of recreational boaters around the globe.
    Over the years, our commitment to innovating and embracing ideas, no matter how unconventional, has been at the forefront of who we are in order to bring you the best boat possible. BENETEAU was one of the first boatbuilders many years ago to use computer-aided design (CAD) as well as lighter, stronger composite building materials. We’ve also been at the cutting edge of using greener materials and processes to do our part in protecting the incredible world which we explore. However, all this innovation doesn’t mean we’ve turned our back on tradition. One thing we’ve discovered in over a century of boatbuilding is that new-world innovations work best with old-school craftsmanship. This combination has resulted in some of the most iconic sailboats and powerboats in the world - supremely seaworthy yachts renowned for their sense of style, luxury, and comfort along with their creative use of space and new technologies.
    -- Philosophy --
    We’re a lot like you. We love the water in all its forms - the ocean, bays, lakes, and rivers. And we love sharing the boating lifestyle with our family and friends. This love manifests itself in every BENETEAU built in any one of our many manufacturing facilities worldwide. Every BENETEAU sailboat and powerboat on the water reflects the best efforts of the finest architects, designers, and craftsmen along with the highest quality materials and the latest innovations.
    When you purchase a BENETEAU, you become a valued member of our BENETEAU family. For this reason, our after-sale service is second to none as evidenced by the multitude of National Marine Manufacturers CSI Awards for Excellence in Customer Service. At the core of this outstanding service is our exceptional dealer network. Every one of our authorized BENETEAU dealers will be there for you - from choosing the right yacht to the handover and beyond. Your dealer will be your able guide when it comes to maintaining your boat properly and will help you maximize the return on your investment when it comes time to step up to another BENETEAU - and it usually does! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

    Saw it yesterday in the netherlands sailing, what a beautifull ship wow.. Love the blue "standard" sail! There was "no" wind everybody was laying anchored as we, but this boat was just turning and burning.. bft 1-2 nice work.

    I recently purchased a 22 Catalina 16.5. As I learn and get more comfortable, I can very much see myself purchasing this boat.
    I want something that can do decent coastal sailing, I’m in New England, but also has enough room to entertain my friends.

    The sub 30 foot choices continue to be awesome. This boat looks great - not sure if Eric is right about sailing it to Bermuda, but for what most people in this market want, it looks ideal.

      People do ocean crossings in boats this size and smaller, I’m sure you can sail this to Bermuda no problem

    Beautiful boat. Not sure I'd put the switches on the kickplate coming out of the companionway though. Doesn't take much in the way of rough seas to get your feet in the wrong place while going up stairs. But, this is just my humble opinion. Other than that.....I'd love to have one.

  • @GordonPotter

    Oh man. I'd be kicking the switches on the way out of the cabin all day.

      I knew guy like him who sold suits. He pinched the back of the suit jacket you were trying on and said, "See, if fits great!"

    • @fabienh3943
      @fabienh3943 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jacmaclar Lol, that's such a sharp comparison. I adore the way he "jumps" in the super narrow front birth, making it look comfortable in spite of his size. I own a boat like this and am tall too. My ship is a bit shorter but spacier as emptier inside and wider. And I can tell you, if I LOVE the way it sails and is great fun, I almost lit it on fire a few times after bumping my head, my girlfriend's head and our baby's head just for an urgent night pee :-)

    My question is: van I take the 27SE version and sail on lakes, where are some shallow waters, or it would be to easy to damage a boat?

    Although I have a much larger boat (X Yacht 38') now, my first two boats were a Beneteau F235 and a F310. I loved them both so much! I'm anxious to take a look-see at this boat. The efficiency of design and speed on the 235 and 310 were just awesome. I still miss them - each in their own way! Will there be one at the Annapolis Sailboat Show in Oct.?

    I wonder if you have to pay at the local marina 250 bucks just to get it on the trailer? Or can it be launched at a ramp?

    I am struggling to see what I would do different with this boat.
    Maybe avoid double spreaders - but damn - it's a great design.

    • @fabienh3943
      @fabienh3943 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love it and sailing a kind of predecessor of this (small French productiin), I'd just would love it a bit higher and wider. But then again, it would look plumper and wouldn't be trailerable. I guess the key is to know what you want

    Beneteau says it planes at 12kts of wind. Can anyone confirm if that is correct? How does it compare to J80 out on the race course? Saw one with PHRF rating of 142 in Galveston PHRF which seems to be slower and heavier than the J80.

  • @jo3ywils0n39
    @jo3ywils0n39 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is always such an interesting boat from Beneteau, but I don't think the simplicity of this boat is a main selling point. It does just about the same as any other 26 footer, and for the money I don't see why anyone wouldn't consider any other 30 foot cruising boat - even if they had to go back a couple model years to get to the same price point. Great looking boat for sure. I could see this being better marketed to club racers and weekenders, but not to your average bear.

    • @TrolloTV
      @TrolloTV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are more about performance than most other boats that size. This thing can plane on autopilot pretty good, can’t say that about many other boats

    • @fabienh3943
      @fabienh3943 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. It's b rated, so not really. Technically probably it does but 2.5m wide is not much shorthanded. It's a hell of a day sailor, but at the same time extremely expensive as such

    To call the forward berth a “Master State room” is a miss statement! Over selling is rude and offensive! Other than that it looks a fun boat
