    1) Wow! Aren't you lucky with a mum like that! - I hope that you can find a way to give her nice things, too!
    2) That very sweet stuff (zahir?) resembles the stuff (zefir?) that I know from the Polish supermarket in Amsterdam-Noord.
    3) There may well be e-books available in Russian. So, if you should happen to have a tablet computer around...

Thank you for your comment Chris! Yes, we can send package back to Russia too :) We've been reading our Kindles many years but we are happy to have paper books for kids :)

Zefir... So it’s not only belarussian traditional sweets…
My belarussian girlfriend claims it is their sweets!!!
    Who is right?
But despite the origin, I really like it.

We're not sure about the origins of zefir, but surely Belarus has it as well as Russia :) the white covered in chocolate is the best!

Marina, is it not possible for your parents (or Dimas’s) to travel to the Netherlands for a holiday with you?

At this moment it is not possible, unfortunately 😔

It must be confusing for you guys to be in a country in which we do not speak about Christmas until the 6th of December. Especially when you got Christmas gifts from abroad... This must be very confusing for your kids as well since Sinterklaas (this is one word!) is the main (and often the only) celebration for kids in The Netherlands and Christmas is the small after party for grown ups in this part of Europe. When your kids talk to other kids at school or in the street... nobody of their friends will understand your kids having Christmas gifts before Sinterklaas has had his day the 5th of December....This will lead to confusion all over... You're not making this any easier for your kids to cope with since they'll be the only one in this situation...To avoid that: So maybe it is better to unpack these gifts during Christmas time: so from the 6th of December until the second Christmas day of the 26th of December... Patience (not unpacking the gift bag from Russia until Christmas time) basically is the magic word here....
