Dom's Sketch Cast Hahaha! Bruh, I had to pull that shit together last minute, but luckily being such a nerd I already had shit I wanted to know for myself. The fact that you guys enjoyed it, too, was just a kicker.
Myke C-Town I was really happy that you asked about Last Hazzah. That verse is one of my favorites of all time. Just make sure you ask about Despot's album next time! Great interview! Can't wait for the review.
Marsman1337 Nah I've learned from other interviewers that he's not fond of that question. Since he doesn't do Def Jux anymore he has no real control over when Despot drops his album.
Then you know nothing about him dude says himself ge qgy an alcoholic and out of control in his younger years has talked in multiple interviews about using PCP for fuck sake did an entire album for cage and produced a song on the dust bros album and his early albums are dust journeys.
@@johnjoe3386 you must not listen to much el p music beyond run the jewels because his older music is literally FULL of references about doing drugs . I mean he mentions mushrooms a lot and angel dust a lot and even in the RTJ albums he talks about smoking weed a lot lol
I love this man. I've loved him for years. The fact that I got to see him perform live with his best friend (and one of the greatest Atlanta rappers EVER) was an absolute treat, and a life experience I will cherish for years. Thank you DEHH and Myke C-Town for a fantastic interview.
El-P is truly a creative genius and one of the best producers of all time. So glad that both him and Killer Mike are finally getting their mass respect. I hope people go check out their earlier solo projects because everything El-P has produced is excellent.
Fantastic interview! You can tell he is being real, and if you have watched any EL-P interviews he usually is joking and messing with the camera. So its great to see him focused. Great stuff DEHH deserve it! well done
The show was amazing. My second time seeing them perform this year. Super dope when Big Boi came out. I feel like Atlanta represented that night. It was nice meeting you there, too Myke. Same for Adann.
I was so glad he asked about that Huzzah remix verse, that's one of my favorites from El-P, and I always wondered where the number progression idea came from.
this is good to see. el seems so down to earth and humble even when being asked about shit that is rap god level. there's dudes out here today with main stream interviews that have no solid bars and don't even wanna talk about a question to do with lyrical substance.
Myke C-Town Hell yeah, I can't even imagine how great of an experience it must of been for you to get to sit down with your favorite MC and have a fun time like that. I wouldn't be able to stay chill at all, haha! But yeah congratulations man because I know it has to feel amazing to get to do this.
As a dude who spent some of his teenage years listening to El-P and the Def Jux camp, I kind of went another direction towards rock and jazz music as I got older (trying to get closer to the beats that I liked alot). And, I think a lost a little faith in how appealing Hip Hop could be along the way. Run The Jewels has brought back that faith to me and I'm trying to listen to more hip hop as I'm already listening to this new record like crazy XD
this interview was so damn dope and natural. It was as if u knew each other forever. I really hope u guys do another one with both Mike and el p for their new album

This was a great interview, and it is really nice to see such mutual appreciation. Good job Myke and congrats to Run The Jewels - they totally deserve this success!
Awesome interview Myke! Really appreciate all the vids you guys put up whether or not they're not album reviews. Thank you for living, thank you for loving, and thank you for being you. Peace.
Good interview!!! I went to the show in DC and it was ridiculous. RATKING and Despot did good jobs, but as soon as the beat dropped for RTJ the whole atmosphere changed! Can't wait for whatever is next from RTJ.
Dope interview. Glad to see both guys having such a big run with this RTJ,both r dope artist. Also Myke getting a chance to sit & interview his fav artist is a great look. Salute to DEHH on hooking this up

Still haven't heard RTJ2 yet. In all honesty, I'm still playin the first muhfxckin album like it just came out. That album is....*phew* legendary man. Slept on for sure.
Nice interview Myke, but I really wish you woulda asked him a question about his recent interactions (or lack thereof) with people in his former def jux crew. I know he's in a different phase in his life now but it would been interesting to hear if he plans on ever collaborating with any of those guys again. I love what he's doing now with killer mike but I get nostalgic for the def jux days.
