Australia Student Visa Update 2024 | New GS Requirement for Australia | GTE vs GS Requirements

From March 24, there were some big changes for international students.
The first of which is GTE Statement will be replaced by GS Requirement
Students are now replaced by GTE which is known as Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE).
According to GS policy Australia is like that PR wants students who will complete their studies and acquire the necessary skills and can apply for PR.
Several changes have come in GS Requirement, Students had to write a 300 word SOP instead now student have to answer very specific questions.
There will be a word limitation of 150 words for each question answer.
The minimum IELTS score for student visa has been increased from 5.5 to 6 from March 23. The same applies to PTE as well. But this is for foundation and pathway programs. The requirement is kept at 5.5 as before.
No need to be scared for these changes.. Australian government just want genuine student to study there. If your preparation is complete and you are eligible for applying for Australia then there is nothing to worry about.
