The quality got better with updates. High bitrate and LOG is the way to go, it’s not a drastic difference but it’s better on the 5 Pro. I’d choose the 5 over the 4 all day any day due to the battery life.
@@stefzn_ i always shoot log and high bitrate. I shot some side by side scenes with the action 4 and action 5 and the 5 looks just like phones used to look 5 hears ago while the action 4 has a more natural and smooth feel to the image. I shoot and edit videos for a living and trust me, 4k needs more than 100mbps to look nice.
Awesome video. Cracking ride! Besides some australian guy who’s name I don’t remember, you’re one of the few that seem to use an adventure bike the way they’re marketed to be used, very entertaining! The footage looks great. I think you could use some more adjustments for volume and gain for the mic 2 setup. I just ordered a single mic mini transmitter.. might get a second one and try the same!
Thank you. The Mic Mini has auto gain control; I would have gotten that one, but it was not released when I bought the Mic 2. The gain setting does not do much on the Action 5. I will set it to the minimum today to see what happens.
That footage looked amazing. I'm still using old Gopro sessions for my rides so I really must upgrade as the camera technology has come so far very quickly. I had my heart in my mouth when your bars wobbled during that first track as I was sure you were about to crash 😬 Sick riding as normal dude 🤘
I bought it a month ago and like it a lot. Previously, I only borrowed various GoPro generations but you can easily see the differences. I consider it better in almost every way. One thing I don't like is the built in mic quality, compared to GoPro it's worse. Overall video quality is great, but I am not the most experienced with action cams.
I would ride it as well, but the mountains are covered in snow, and that's a no-go for the big bike. Near the city, there is lots of ice, and I had bad experiences with ice patches. When the flatlands and woods are covered, that's a different story.
I was thinking about this update but then I saw the camera sensor is the same. If there's a difference in image quality that's a shame. I'm waiting for a 1 inch sensor update from DJI like the one from Pocket 3. Until then, I'm happy with my Action 4. Nice ride on a very well known tracks 🙂
@@WildGoatADV I know for sure it's 1/1.3 inch the same as in Action 4. Megapixels don't make a big difference in quality if the sensor size stays the same.
Hi, great video! What microphone setting do you use? I have the Action 3, and sound is just awful (using the same as with the Insta360, where it was perfect) 😔
Lookin' good! Also you're rippin' it! ✌️
Hell yeah man :) thanks for watchin'
Great riding mate! Quality on the 5 Pro is amazing, I got it when it released and I'm loving every single second with it.
Great to hear! But i also own the Action 4 and the quality is way better on the old one in my opinion.

I wouldnt say cinema, but thank you :)

Its more than ok, but i would have loved to see an upgrade in video quality from the action 4, instead it is slightly worse
that was great ! now i want to ride mine T7 out there even with 0c temperature !

With theese wireless mics make sure to put -12db gain for road and turn on clipping control that way it should sound fine
Is there clipping control on the Action 5? It was my first try with them; I hope to get another go tomorrow if the weather clears up.

Defenetly wait for for an update or the new model. The sensor is not the same tho

Great video bro! And wich brand mirror do you have?
Thank you! Ali express mirrors :) 20 dollars or something like that

hi, i use the dji mic 2 in this clip, but i am not really pleased with the result. The action 4 handled bluetooth audio better
autumn is a lovely time 🙂- my mate has the dji, he happy - better than bloody nopro - they have lost their way after so long at the top
For sure better than nopro :))) good name for it
Do you use the receiver or connect both mics straight to the camera using the Bluetooth connection? Thanks!
Hi, no, I connected both through Bluetooth. But I still need to figure out gain levels to avoid clipping at high speeds.
