The guys the guided their emotions to reflect their decisions. This came from the real world, not guys in the real world acting out a fantasy.

He goes through the banks metal vault door. Merlin is back in his time and conjures up a spell to get his powers back. At the time he gets his powers back the guy robbing the bank is going out through the banks metal vault door. His body is half in the metal door. That's how the bank employees find him the next morning. Dead of course. I see many movies these days from comics I read 40 years ago.
Now imagine if this is from the girls perspective. He should've received a restraining order. Also, he didn't give the kid the money out of some sort of "revelation" or act of real kindness. He only did it to get this person he's been stalking. It's a superficial gesture and he only did it to get something out of it, which is not a good intention
The woman that rushed to kiss the guy after he finally helped people in need after all this time is honestly as superficial as the man that tried to win her over with money. In this story the boyfriend deserves better than both of them tbh
