  • Is Singapore Airlines Business class worth the price? Find out in my comprehensive review of the Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore's Changi Airport to Taipei Taoyuan Airport on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner I'll start in with the departure experience at the airport in Singapore including Check-in and the Singapore Airlines Business Class lounge. Then I'll show you everything there is to know about the seat itself, and of course the inflight food and beverage service too!

    I had a 7-hour layover in Singapore on a business class trip in January. I was dreading such a long layover, but a few hours in the Singapore airlines business class lounge, and a few hours wandering around the airport was quite enjoyable actually.

    My wife and I just got back from Singapore and although we flew economy, walking through business class on the way to our seats was enough of a teaser to ensure we try it at least once. We will be going back next year and splurging. Loved the video.

    Chris, I'm soooo glad you were able to experience Business Class on Singapore Airlines. I'm sorry it was only for 4 hours. It's really nice for an overnight flight since you get to fully recline as you showed in the video.
    I also noticed that you showed an escalator at the airport where the left staircase went up and the right staircase went down. It's odd, because in the Jewel at Changi, I noticed some escalators went opposite, where people traveled on the right. I asked my Singaporean friends about that phenomenon since we encountered that when I visited them. They didn't seem to know why some escalators went on the "wrong" side.

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Bill! Yeah. Not sure about why some of the escalators are reversed

    I've flown business class with SIA once and it was awesome. However, it was paid with points and I feel it's not worth it for the price. I'd rather use the same money to stay in a really nice 5-star hotel. We're actually going in October and staying at the Ritz Carlton and Raffles, but flying over on the cheapest flight we could get. Been to Singapore 10+ times since I was a baby and never get sick of it. I Love Singapore and really love your videos!!

    Singapore is my favorite country. Been going there on vacation almost every year (not during covid). Used to love flying Singapore air, but after many flights I found that it does not count toward your UAL lifetime miles! I was trying for the million mile mark. Singapore R/T is 17,000 miles, no faster way to get to 1M than a couple of these flights a year. Only flights on United count toward lifetime miles. You still get the Star Alliance points, but it won't go on your UAL Lifetime count.😡
    Most accidents happen at take off and landing. You should always wear shoes and long pants just in case you have to evacuate or a fire. Do not wear those nylon pants in a fire they will melt to your skin, and sitting on vinyl you won't be comfortable (if you do use those pants sit on your blanket). I carry a self inflating air pad with me. It rolls up into a tube and self inflates when you open the valve. Kind of like a camping pad? It fits right in the water bottle net on my backpack. I find that a half inflation is best and to sit on it with the length going front to back on the seat bottom. It really comes in handy in economy section where the seat cushions have worn down and you can feel the metal underneath. I only take it on long flights.😁 I always think I can give you travel advice, but I bet you'll say "I have one of those". I used to carry a donut pillow, but that can be embarrassing, it's red and you have to blow it up in front of your neighbors. They will think you have Hemorrhoids. I didn't care because comfort was more important than what others think.🤣
