    I have that little ear hole on both my ears and I got it from my dad's side. It skipped so many generations in my family that they thought the trait had been lost but when my great aunt saw me with it as a baby she literally started bawling. She couldn't believe I had it just like that.
    Edit: Also there is only one other person who I know who has this(a guy I like) and I really thought we were soulmates because of it 💀

      I don't have the ear thing but there is a really annoying trait in my family that was lost for a long time. So some old person in my family who I definitely haven't met from my mom's side was allergic to the sun. My family was glad no one else was. Until I was born. And I had really sensitive skin to begin with and the allergy appeared when I was a teen sensitive skin made it worse. Now I have to carry an umbrella everywhere. The good thing is my idol was allergic too so yay but otherwise..

      How does yellow sound like?

    • @drowninginideas_
      @drowninginideas_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@sofija642 it’s a bit more complicated than just “what does yellow sound like”. I don’t see sounds very often and i couldn’t tell you. But i do hear color a lot when listening to music, voices and sometimes sounds that last longer and are reoccurring (like rain, tap dancing, etc.). So sometimes when i hear stuff i see colors and shapes just like, dancing (?). And sometimes i can even see entire scenes as well as (though very rarely) hear taste and/or smells. And sometimes certain words have colors (my brain tells me certain words are a certain color even though my eyes say they’re just black/white/whatever color they actually are. For example, “Wednesday” is a light minty green, “Alex” is a sunset orange, “free” is grass green, “happening” is a deep warm purple, and a specific paragraph in a book i was reading was yellow and glowing.
      Also, hearing colors and seeing sounds isn’t the only form of synesthesia, everyone’s experience is different.

    Hi, To hear colours and see sounds. Means the connections in the brain are mixed up. So when you see something the visual part of the brain is connected to the audible part tof the brain. And when it works out what its looking at the sighnal goes to the audible part of the brain. Then it turns it into sound. Reverse the process and you get a streak of coloured light when you hear something. This would give you a bad headache as the brain was not designed to do this.

      @StomachAcid 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fatfluffycat878 So basically it's like when there are pitches, you would be able to tell what key it is. So if someone played a G on a piano, for example, a person with perfect pitch would be able to tell that's a G without looking. Or if someone asks to sing an A flat, then that person would be able to do it. Like, the person would know the absolute pitch of a thing. Like, I can tune my violin pretty well even without a tuner.

    For anyone who CAN'T hear colors, lemme explain it like this:
    We associate certain colors to certain sounds. For example, whenever I hear Kyutie's voice, the color blue will pop into my head. The sound of a fan going on will make a shade of grey pop into my head.
    I also do this with tasting and words/numbers. Pop is usually this weird object whenever I drink it and whenever I think of lets say English class the color yellow will pop into my head. The number 4 is purplish-brown.
    Also seeing sounds is just hearing something and a picture pops into your head

    1:43 the sunlight onee-
    im pretty sure its when like, say youre in shade and you suddenly exposed to sunlight. thats what makes you sneeze. i watched a video on it like 5 years ago and thats all i can remember....
    edit:
    i did some research (not really i just googled it)
    apparently when you are exposed suddenly and directly to sunlight, your pupils contract really quickly, which indirectly causes congestion and secretion in your nasal mucus membranes. Basically a lot of stuff fills in or blocks your nasal cavity, which is an area behind your nose that kind of leads to your throat, which then causes you to sneeze!
    This may be incorrect because I had to google search most of it
    I don't know much about it so correct me if I'm wrong!

    Here's one way someone (possibly not human) might see colors most of us can't: our eyes can see yellow light, and they can also see a certain combo of green and red (possibly with some blue) as the same yellow. That's because yellow light triggers a combination of green and red and possibly blue cones. However, yellow light is different from the combination of green and red and... -- so why would we expect other creatures to see them as the same the way we do?

    To the 25% of people that can sneeze at direct sunlight, I'm with you. When I get used to a darker indoor area and walk outside I can just look up at the sun and sneeze. In that scenario, it's mostly just the sun that activates this however when I'm in the dark interior it can also happen with super bright lights that stay for a little while, and flashes don't work, a bright light that stays on for like 10-20 second will do the trick. Snow has also done that to me as well when the sun is directly beaming onto it and it reflects.

    Hearing colors and seeing sounds make sense due to the waves that are involved. Many people hear of sound waves but don't know they can be seen, especially for humans, though fewer people hear about colors (and light overall, which we need to be able to see) being in waves. This is similar to how a decent number of us can hear the wireless signals given off by routers, in which I hear regularly. My hearing has always been extra sensitive, though.
