I think, in university, Professor could teach you how to change your concept idea into reality. so, sketching skill will be getting better with your practicing. keep enjoying sketch with a bunch of paper.

There's a lot of Audi, Kia and Volvo in those sketches -- of course all 3 are design masters (but Kia is not as great anymore, but still good)
for practicing, proportion of those cars would help you to improve sketch.

I just try to put lines following the perspective guide line. Practicing the sketch could help to draw lines you want.
