I’m 58 and listening to Stryper from their 3rd album. I’ve loved everything they have done. They have gotten better and better as time has gone on. They were always a great band. I got to see them live. I even met Timothy Gaines before he was withStryker. He was with a band called Stormer. Excellent music.
@@nightmarecabin8933 I have heard some and your right. I even liked “Against the Law”, which I felt went away from where they had been heading. I think that album was a catalyst to their overall mental change on their music career. I’m just glad they are still going strong.
No album I have ever heard has struck me to the core of my being like No More Hell To Pay did when I finally heard the last song from that release. That album is next level musicianship and singularly redefined music all on its own, in my opinion. It not only knocked the ball out of the park but also knocked the park off its foundation and relocated it in Heaven. Who but Stryper could do that? Every Stryper release since has challenged NMHTP for their greatest release ever, some may even have some songs that are better, but to me NMHTP stands the test of time in the end. The Final Battle is either equally as good or else their next best release, yet every album they put out is phenomenal without question. These guys are the real deal. God's Band. Can't wait to hear the rest of this new release!
@@matthewdavis418 A great follow up album for sure, and Fallen may well be my favorite Stryper song from their entire catalog but Even The Devil Believes and No Rest For The Wicked are certainly contenders ...
I am a huge fan of the late Stryper. I am indeed an ultra fan! I love them through and through. Today I preordered two vinyl editions, cd and shirt! Nice to hear your opinion. I am really digging the 3 tunes i have heard. Greetings from Costa Rica
Thank you. I did review The Final Battle also. I'll be doing a full review when it comes out so looking forward to that. But hey, Stryper on a bad day is still great right! lol Have a good one!
I'm a huge stryper fan I'm 25 and have been a fan since I was 12 is there anyway I can possibly get a early access listen to the album I can't wait anymore for it
Look ALL of Strypers catalog is AWESOME but like you said they redirected their sound with NMHTP. What makes this band so great is the message as well as the way this band treats their fans. I saw them recently on the To hell with the amps tour! Michael Sweet is the MOST underrated guitarist there is! Oz will be back soon and the 40 anniversary tour kicks of I challenge everyone to go see them
You had to have lived through the 80s to fully appreciate their 80s catalogue. They were at their creative peak then. Yes they may be tighter now etc etc but their blend of pop and metal in the 80s was special. And Michael’s singing was better then too (listen to THWTD song). They don’t have quite the creative edge/fun and exciting sound they had in the 80s. Still stellar now but in a different way.
I was around then and I couldn't disagree with you more. This is coming from a guy that saw them live 7 times between '84 and '88. They are so much better now, it's crazy.
@@JSAY1069 They’re not writing songs like “free” any more. So it come down to which era’s output your prefer. I prefer the songwriting and performances from the 80s.

Yea my favs are no more hell to pay and no rest for the wicked! Curious about rapture and other tracks on new one
I do like old STRYPER a lot but i also like the later stuff. Always nice when a new album comes out by them. Good to hear your opinion.

In my opinion, Murder By Pride kicked off this impressive streak they’re on.
Yeah I wouldn't argue with that actually. Good call.
Nah, they were feeling their way back with MBP. NMHTP was the start, and set the standard for all the rest after that
as much as i love Murder By Pride and Reborn, NMHTP is what started it
Man! Id LOVE to be able to hear that!! 😢
Soon brother!

Grateful is a BADASS song, dude!
Indeed

Its a press release. I can only stream it. I'll be reviewing the cd in more detail when it's released.

STRYPER is better now than before.
I thought I had a controversial opinion in saying that so it's been a relief. People tend to agree. Thanks for watching.
LMFAO!!!!!!
