What do you do if you lost your gifts? I used to be so good, so intuitive, I developed hypothyroidism and started the medicine for it and it was like the light turned off. I lost my Thoth deck and I have been blind since. Here I am three decades later and I'm just relearning how to connect to the universe again. I've just been gifted a new Thoth deck and it's already speaking to me like my original did. But I'm struggling with its messages. Lol. This is how desperate I am. Reaching out to people on TH-cam for guidance.
Haven’t been using my Thoth much these days, but it is my forever soul deck. When I started learning tarot, I had a dream with Thoth (the deity), he was showing me the cards and telling me how “colorful” the images were. Of course, I ran off and bought the deck that same week and went right into the rabbit hole lol.

I'm so happy I came across your channel. You are simply a beautiful soul and I love how you described Crowley. He has been described as the most evil man in the world. Depending on your definition of evil and how much you believe about the things said about him but to deny his brilliance is sheer ignorance. Love him or hate him, the man had a huge impact on occultism, witchcraft practices in general and he traveled in very interesting circles. I currently work with Tarot of the Holy Light but have read Crowley for years and wanted to explore this deck. I picked it up and am doing that now. Apparently, I was meant to find your channel. Wonderful video. I am also studying sacred geometry so this deck will assist me in delving deeper into that as well. Very excited to dive in!

You're 100% right about this card and it's tendency to 'accelerate' karma. I guess it's kinda because once you're able to observe things at a causal level you actively input stimuli that either changes or accelerates karma.

This deck actually found me. It was the start of retrograde, i took my washing to the washer room, the deck was sitting there by itself along with the reader manual- which is so old the pages are barely attached. Really freaky actually because it was dark and during a storm. Anyway i believe it was placed there by someone to be taken, so i took it because i was planning on buying a tarot deck prior and the night before this incident happened i had dreamt i had my own deck. Weird. Really appreciated this video, thanks
You are absolutely correct with respect to it being a lifelong study, Joe! I have been working with the Thoth deck for years and it continues to provide guidance & assistance for inner awakening and ongoing spiritual practice. Perhaps this is why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!
I got this deck last year and decided to learn more about it now that I have the courage and time. Not going to lie, this deck was really intimidating at first until I started to learn about the history behind the cards. I’m surprised at how much astrology and numerology is used (and I’m pretty knowledgeable in both) so it makes learning this deck much easier. I didn’t know about Kabbalah until I started with this deck and it’s pretty eye opening. I’m glad this deck chose me because I love to study and learn outside of the box.
Excellent presentation. I wholeheartedly agree. I use the Hermetic Tarot, but used the Book of Thoth for knowledge. You are very accurate and articulate well. Success to you on your path and along your journey.
I use this deck to clarify when I use the Egyptian Tarot or vice versa. Love this deck, see something new every time I read with it but Chile you lost me calling out witches on some “Crowley wrote most of your rituals”. Crowleys philosophies are barely a century old. Real witches/Strega those of us with long traceable lines made our brand of occultism way before his times. Old magic is feminine of Gaia…Crowley was a genius but you’re giving him to much credit. Also in re: karma and the power of the deck…the channeler and their ability to channel doesn’t change from deck to deck…true channelers can tap into source with any deck. Decks are tools…kind of like a car…no good unless there’s a learned driver. I love this deck, it’s very nuanced and intricate and definitely gives me unique messages. As a channeler, I am a conduit, I receive and deliver and karmic energy is not stored or gained only high priestess knowledge and pieces of the Akashic record are stored. Same with root workers…they don’t receive karmic retribution for doing their spiritual work. Much like Crowley, root workers (who predate Crowley by almost a century) don’t shy away from dark magic.
Love your video!!! I had a lot of experiences with this deck that came naturally through using it my first week. No deck has ever came that naturally to me. Was a very great experience. I’ve been studying a lot about Crowley due to the fact he knew every aspect of the occult. His fiction is very interesting as well through my studies. ^^ I think it’s important to study all aspects of the world and he brings a lot of light into that.

I really appreciate your insightful commentary. I have read a lot of Crowley’s books. I forced myself to learn the Rider-Waite deck first in the last millennium. I had the deck with the 3 Magus cards and learned the Major Arcana pretty well. I have studied Egyptian Lore and a lot of ancient history. That was incredibly informative on this specific deck that I have been lead to. I’ve had a shift in consciousness towards the perception of the Tarot, thinking it was a crutch or simply a tool of divination which I felt I could do it myself without tools. However I now see it as an extension of the self, seeing the framework underlying the facade, way to know the self better, to help others, and to be truly self empowered because when we are aware of what needs to be done in our lives we can take the right action to do. Thank you for explaining the difference of this deck and subsequent accuracy and complexities involved, I am a beginner but have a newfound interest and I look forward to studying thank you for the book recommendations. I believe the Thoth deck chose me. My original deck (my first) was gifted to me by my friend because every time he tried to read it, it gave him terrible spreads. The first time I picked it up, it gave me such a positive spread he gave it to me on the spot. That was my rabbit hole, lol. Then I discovered I shared Crowley's birthday and it was over with, lol. I got my books and did extensive readings. I realize now that I did read more intuitively than from an educated perspective. I plan on now reading more and trying to go beyond just the intuitive, I hope my new thoth deck will guide me as well as my first.

Recently I purchased the DuQuette book you suggested and I just finished it today. I plan to dive into Crowley's Book of Thoth next. I'm excited to see your instructional video on using this deck! It's my first deck, though I'm already somewhat versed in its occult concepts. I'm very interested in learning more Qabalah after DuQuette's book. And, I'm finally ready to dive in and accelerate my karma after so many years owning this deck. It's called to me again, now to dive deeper after so many years just admiring its artwork. @@JoeMonteleone i recently throw my knockoff thoth tarot deck to buy an original/authentic Deck which cost 1,500 pesos (php) however in my recent experience of doing ritual with other spirits i became very depressed in my job that others says that i must ground myself because im an empath, is this deck is suitable for someone like me an empath?
Thank you for such an exquisite explanation, a" Range of psychic motion." I have very little patience for people who have no curiosity regarding the cards yet want to call themselves readers. I don't think you have to be psychic to be a reader, but I certainly think curisosity is a must.

The only deck I use, just because Im so use to the art . And seems to be more truthful and powerful. And ive been using them for 40 something yrs. And when i was young , it was Very had to find anything on these cards. Thats whats so great about this time in our lives right now with this great free knowledge of internet more books ect.

This deck is no joke. When you get the hang of it, it will give you ridiculously accurate readings every time, and it doesn’t worry about being polite. I LOVE the Thoth!!!
I really appreciate your insightful commentary. I have read a lot of Crowley’s books. I forced myself to learn the Rider-Waite deck first in the last millennium. I had the deck with the 3 Magus cards and learned the Major Arcana pretty well. I have studied Egyptian Lore and a lot of ancient history. That was incredibly informative on this specific deck that I have been lead to. I’ve had a shift in consciousness towards the perception of the Tarot, thinking it was a crutch or simply a tool of divination which I felt I could do it myself without tools. However I now see it as an extension of the self, seeing the framework underlying the facade, way to know the self better, to help others, and to be truly self empowered because when we are aware of what needs to be done in our lives we can take the right action to do. Thank you for explaining the difference of this deck and subsequent accuracy and complexities involved, I am a beginner but have a newfound interest and I look forward to studying thank you for the book recommendations. I believe the Thoth deck chose me. My original deck (my first) was gifted to me by my friend because every time he tried to read it, it gave him terrible spreads. The first time I picked it up, it gave me such a positive spread he gave it to me on the spot.
That was my rabbit hole, lol.
Then I discovered I shared Crowley's birthday and it was over with, lol. I got my books and did extensive readings.
I realize now that I did read more intuitively than from an educated perspective.
I plan on now reading more and trying to go beyond just the intuitive, I hope my new thoth deck will guide me as well as my first.

Thank you for this video. Great overview, very helpful. I bought a 1971 version of this deck on EBay over a decade ago because it simply called to me. Recently I purchased the DuQuette book you suggested and I just finished it today. I plan to dive into Crowley's Book of Thoth next. I'm excited to see your instructional video on using this deck! It's my first deck, though I'm already somewhat versed in its occult concepts. I'm very interested in learning more Qabalah after DuQuette's book. And, I'm finally ready to dive in and accelerate my karma after so many years owning this deck. It's called to me again, now to dive deeper after so many years just admiring its artwork. The only deck I use, just because Im so use to the art . And seems to be more truthful and powerful. And ive been using them for 40 something yrs. And when i was young , it was Very had to find anything on these cards. Thats whats so great about this time in our lives right now with this great free knowledge of internet more books ect.
