Christine You helped to inspire me for my new living room. It is hippie farmhouse. I love your wicker shelves with the cubbard at the bottom. I kept looking at it. Then it dawned on me... I have one like it. (without the cubbard). It has held bears and fabric & now an assortment... but I have never had plants on it. It will soon be covered in plants. I also have a wicker shelves in the kitchen that will go in living room. I bought a wicker loveseat and coffee table & small plantstand. All brown (honey) wicker. You fired off my imagination. I think she got a lot of her plants from estate sales and yard sales etc. which i wouldn’t have thought you could get plants second hand but you can!

I love your videos! And, like you, I love plants. My recent purchases have been a Ponytail palm and what I call the "Medallion" plant. It's so gorgeous with the fuchsia color on the back of the leaves. I'm also growing a Haas Avocado plant. It's almost 3' tall with beautiful deep green leaves. My next plant will be a "String of Heart". I have 2 huge Spider Plants, an Orchid Cactus, a Jade plant and a Coleus. They are all doing well, thanks to all your tips. You are amazing! Gorgeous! I love the idea of putting felt bumpers on the bottom of pots. I have some but never thought to use them that way.
I just started this video and WHOA!!! You struck gold with that arched shelf!!! It is so perfect for plants with the height between shelves and the glass!!! What a find! I am having the hardest time with the shelves I have (they’re the white metal and glass ikea ones that a lot of planty people have), but the space between the shelves is just not tall enough to accommodate the height of most of my plants. Something like this would be perfect! Congratulations on your perfect shelf find!! Wow!

But I have a challenge for you…. Can you do something similar for an apartment dweller like me? Personally I have 2 5 1/2 ft horizontal windows 2 ft tall, no sill. Minimal lighting comes through either. Minimal outlets for grow lighting. (I hate seeing cords and grow lights so I’ll need to hide everything.). No nails/screws allowed. I’m presently using risers of all sorts to go “upward”. Quite a predicament. Any ideas?
