The variety of container sizes makes these great. I have a bunch of the dewalts, but they only offer big and bigger so there is terrible wasted space. Most of my containers are not more than 20% full... Also, there are no long containers. Thanks for the comprehensive video!
First off, great job on your videos and thank you for putting them together. New subscriber here. Wish I had the moolah for Festool and those systainers look pretty awesome. I'm invested in the Milwaukee platform and the Milwaukee Packout system has been working great for me. They are very durable and hold a bunch, but they do get rather heavy. Please keep up the good work and really enjoy your views and insights.
Man those Packouts are built like a brick house! I had a set for awhile 😅 Absolutely great quality and I’d say preferable for a lot of outdoor work, plumbers etc. I think all my local main plumbers I use all run those. Solid stuff for sure
Great review. I find the festool parts boxes to be a little too small. I often end up using 2 or even three containers to hold bulk screws. I keep a ton of extra sets in drawers and break components out for each project. I think this system will work really well for that. Not a huge fan of the handle problem. Not a big deal but definitely half baked. What I’m dumbfounded about and is that I can’t believe they broke backwards compatibility. You didn’t really mention that but it’s a HUGE failure and 100 percent totally unnecessary. All they had to do was keep the same cup sizes and add notches to the bottom but instead they made them intentionally incompatible. It’s inexcusably dumb - and screws existing users.
Yes, there’s at least 3 separate kinds of containers now smh. I mentioned that somewhere in there that the drawer unit boxes and the multicolor boxes, none of those work with these. Super annoying for sure. Agreed on the front handle. I don’t think I ever unsnap it even 😑
Great video Josef, I just picked up one of the smaller sized ones to try it out. I currently use dewalt tough systems, but these look more compact. I have been looking for a compact case to store multi tool, reciprocating and jigsaw blades, I think this will fit the bill.......oh, and it looks cool 😎 I will try it out and then possibly get more depending on how I get on with it. 👍
Hi! Ricard from Sweden here. Thanks a lot for great content! Good job! Question: I can’t find a template or any description that show (blueprint) how many boxes that fits in the systainer. It should be easy as lego but I don’t know how much room the different size need in the systainer. Is it posible to make a plan or maybe an episode? Best regards Ricard, Sweden
Totally understand! I end up getting these one or two at a time to build up to what I need. I managed some really good deals a couple years ago through Amazon and I bought all I could get. I think I was getting the 3 drawer ones that are normally like $180 for maybe $50 😳 they’re pricey for sure!
If I click on the amazon affiliate link but don't actually follow through to purchase that exact item, do you still get a hit? Does that make sense? Do you get the credit simply because I entered amazon through your doorway... or does it happen at the checkout?
If you buy anything from Amazon over the next 24 hours after clicking any link it pays, doesn’t have to be the actual item you clicked to look at 😊 Just clicking doesn’t pay anything. Thanks for watching!
Does this mean you're parting with your sortcainer sys4? I'm wondering about ease of use with these new ones because the sortcainer has pullout drawers which I find good for easy access.
Oh absolutely not, I have 3 of the drawer units in my back seat and there’s really no better way to access parts and tools in that position. In the decked bed system these work perfectly. The 3 drawer units won’t fit in the drawers and you need a top access organizer so the clear tops are just perfect for that.

It makes sense to make them transparent now. Looks very functional.
Big time saver hunting for screws for sure!

These look great. Awesome you don’t have to have all the cups for everything to stay in place. Price is what I would expect from Festool
Pricey for sure! Nice once you build up a set lol. I can’t imagine starting the collection over again 😅
"Freedom units" - as defined by English King Edward II in the 14th Century as “three grains of barley, dry and round, placed end to end lengthwise.”
What are those funny markings on your tape measure? Cubits or something?

Awesome! You’ll have to let me know what you think. They added a third hinge in the lid on these new ones that really made them feel a lot more solid.
Freedom units 😂😂 best from the Netherlands 😊😊
Any chance you could please show us the way it all fits in your truck
A truck tour is on the upcoming schedule 😁

Hello!
What I tried to ask for with my poor English is something like this: www.pcrichard.com/images/content/YETI-ICE-Configuration-Guide.pdf
They look great. I just can't justify the cost I have been using the ones from harbor freight for over 8 years only ever had to replace one.
