Need to do some drops and jumps man. It is not an XC bike, that is the BLUR. Those of us on a 5010 looking to move away from the BMX ergos of the V3 are trying to decide between new longer travel Tallboy or the Hightower. Want to go 29r, but not sure I need a full on Hightwower, but definitely do some varied terrain up here in the NorthEast. We need to see some vids of regular' riders doing Trail riding with it, not just XC.
it hurts when you call Tallboy a XC bike... my heart can't take it! The bike's geo is no where near a XC bike and it's made to go down with jumps and drops with newly added lower VPP suspension setup like other Santa Cruz bikes (Nomad, Bronson, Megatower, Hightower). Awesome riding though! You're super smooth with it on the corners, or maybe it was the Tallboy helping you out a little lol. Oh and I don't mean to come off like an asshole, I'm just a dude who's only passionate about santa cruz bikes and only rides santa cruz bikes lmao!
Haha no doubt. This was just a first ride. I do hope to take it out and push it more next time. I definitely think it’s capable, just haven’t tried. Thanks for watching!
You are right about it not being an efficient climber. All of the lower link Santa Cruz bike seem to be not so good at this. People that are used to a serious xc race rig then getting on to one of these will see its short comings when pedaling with decent power input.
"The climbing is not that great ,it's the same as my bike " so you're ride isn't great for climbing ? I would suggest working on you're fitness, nothing to do with the bike.
You couldn’t be more incorrect. First, all bikes climb different regardless of fitnes level. Second, the tall boy is known to have subpar climbing capabilities compared to other competitors in its class
@@norcalchrismeister I’ve heard the pivot trail 429 is an excellent bike for that. I personally have an ibis ripley and it is a phenomenal climber! Zero complaints
You have no clue what you are talking about?...Your narration on the bike is way too general. Calling it smooth has no indication of what you mean? ...

Yeah man
Is it smooth?
My dream and favorite bike Santa Cruz 😍🥰😘😍
Guy Kestevan rolling his eyes...
Where are you riding? Beautiful!
How is the over all riding experience on flat ground and hills?
Funny enough I hear it’s a strong climber from others.
Really great video! I’m gonna buy this or a yeti.
Thanks! Can’t go wrong with either tbh. -Ry
Good Vid.
Was it romote lockout?
Thanks for watching! No, this one didn’t come with remote lockout. It definitely should have for the price! Haha

I hear ya lol
Is your Canyon 29 or 27.5? Between the 2 which one you feel is easier to handle? More controlled riding? oh and keep the videos up bro!
I have the 27.5. 2021 is the first year they made a 29” for the spectral. I’ve never rode the 29er before but I do miss 29ers in general, sometimes

"Down country"
Down country bike. You can tell by the geo, slack, and travel
It's so hard to get a hold of these bikes
Yeah definitely. The surge is still strong. Good luck on your search!

@@livinginorangevilleontario4246 What good climbing bikes would you recommend? A good climbing bike is most important to me.
