Ditto here, kinda. I'm happy to see it again, and play it _loudly_ in my hospital room, while hooked up to I.V. pumping steroids into my body. Nobody can hear me, I'm in isolation. So I can listen to my fave shit & bang my head until the sun rises over Yosemite. I hope you're not dying for real. Take care & keep rockin.
Two things: 1: I didn’t discover this song until it was used for a TV commercial. 2: How did they do the computer face/monkey blending better than most movies?
I had no idea this song would be relevant to my life years after I first heard it. It's bringing back memories. Like I remember where I was when I first saw this crazy video.
I miss those happy, carefree times. I still vividly recall how my college friends and I watched Tomb Raider at the cinema on a Saturday after class; how I got a cool poster of Lara Croft afterwards and displayed it in my dorm room; and how this song (Tomb Raider OST) stuck like a brainworm afterwards.
I used this song as an alarm on my tablet back in high school and I always knew I’d regret it one day. I had injured my knee around that time and was scheduled for surgery. Just like the music video, it was a gray and cloudy morning as I was the first patient checking in; alone in the waiting room. Long story short: I’m now laying down on the operating table getting ready to go under and, just before, I said to the anesthesiologist, “Stop! I gotta go get my tablet I left in the waiting room.” Now I’m speed walking back to the check in and mind you, I look exactly like one of the crazies in the music video wearing nothing but a thin hospital gown, socks & flip flops as I’m PRAYING to GOD that none of my many alarms went off and for nobody to be present for that kind of torture. I open the door… and all I can hear… at full blast… 🔊WHERES‼️YOUR ‼️HEAD‼️AT‼️AT‼️WHERES YOUR HEAD AT‼️WHERES YOUR HEAD AT‼️🔊 A room, now full, of grown adult patients and nurses painfully trying to hold back their laughter at the innocent conundrum of this quirky teenage boy whom you’d bet your last dollar on the preconception that he surely listens to rap music. I embarrassingly apologize whilst I scuffled to hit the snooze button then power off. You just had to be there. The entire gallery was practically rolling on the floor laughing at this point as I’m walking out back to the operating room wishing I’d never touched the DVD for Tomb Raider back when I was six years old. 😂 I always knew that day would come. Thank you Basement Jaxx, for the beautiful memories and reminding me to not let the walls cave in on myself❤️

My grandpa passed away 45 years ago today. I played this at his bedside as he took his last breaths. And as his grandfather passed away 80 years ago today he too played this at his bedside while he was dying from an ingrown toenail. Every time I hear these lyrics I think of my family legacy of 200 years enjoying these inspiring lyrics.
My stepfather gave me this cd as his first gift to me to kinda break the ice. I was a young boy at the time, about 8 years old. I just knew the cd and the “ monkey cd “ it had basement jaxx first album art on it. I’ll never sell it nor give it away, it even irks me to explain what it is. It’s one of those, if ya know, ya know, if not, then you don’t. And you don’t need to. Rooty had such a special place in my heart that I couldn’t put it into words of if I tried. This album is the shit.

Nothing but happy memories fill my head when I hear this song.
It’s a fun ride
It's been such a long time since I last heard this song as a child. I got chills and memories came back from the good old days. This song will always be remembered.🫠

When you're skating in Andy's room and this song comes on:
Nah I remember it more from free roam in the city.
Fucking loved that game though.
Holy Christ, I love sharing nostalgia with complete strangers!!!!!
Yes yes yes
I liked skateboarding in the bathroom lol 😂
I'm happy I didn't die before watching this cinematic masterpiece
Ditto here, kinda.
I'm happy to see it again, and play it _loudly_ in my hospital room, while hooked up to I.V. pumping steroids into my body. Nobody can hear me, I'm in isolation. So I can listen to my fave shit & bang my head until the sun rises over Yosemite.
I hope you're not dying for real. Take care & keep rockin.
This song will never get old! 🔥🔥🔥The video is definitely perfect for the song.

Disney Extreme Skate Adventure
Yeah, you can make the terminator on that at least it looks like the terminator
Yeah xD this was my fav song
This video terrified me when it came out, and it still unnerves me today.
Me too! lol
Two things:
1: I didn’t discover this song until it was used for a TV commercial.
2: How did they do the computer face/monkey blending better than most movies?
The first time you see it it looks better than it actually is... rewatch it a few times.
What TV commercial was it used for? Wasn't a BT commercial by any chance was it...?
The first time I heard this song was Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure for the PS2 😭

I had no idea this song would be relevant to my life years after I first heard it. It's bringing back memories. Like I remember where I was when I first saw this crazy video.
something is seriously wrong with the internet how can this video only have 3 .6 million views?? where your head at??

because it's 16 years old, this was mainstream in the UK when it came out.

20 years later and this song still KICKS!
This feels like grabbing your depression by the throat and smiling in it's face

Well said!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This song always reminds me of “Tomb Raider” the end when she’s gonna fight Simon again
That's exactly what I visualise when I hear this song.

For close to 10 years now, this songs music video has always been there to pick me up and lighten the mood when I need it.

I gotta go get my tablet I left in the waiting room.”
Now I’m speed walking back to the check in and mind you, I look exactly like one of the crazies in the music video wearing nothing but a thin hospital gown, socks & flip flops as I’m PRAYING to GOD that none of my many alarms went off and for nobody to be present for that kind of torture. I open the door… and all I can hear… at full blast…

A room, now full, of grown adult patients and nurses painfully trying to hold back their laughter at the innocent conundrum of this quirky teenage boy whom you’d bet your last dollar on the preconception that he surely listens to rap music.
I always knew that day would come.
Thank you Basement Jaxx, for the beautiful memories and reminding me to not let the walls cave in on myself❤️
This has to be the best song in the world - pure alchemy. Blows my mind, body soul. I don't know what to do with myself. Feeling possessed - dance moves are out of control. Love being a 90's teen
Proof that music video imagery does something. I will never ever forget this video.
Lmao I cant even forget it when I'm sleeping
This deserves nothing less than as much volume you can play it on !
Totally.... high volume brings out stuff in this song that you just don't get at lower volume
"We will live on without you" great stuff to play to someone dying 🤣
This music video is still amazing today.
Writing, directing and acting are all perfect.
