Vernon is pronounced as "vern-in". He’s from New York but moved to Korea when he was 5 years old. His mother is American and his father is Korean.

The guy in the black and white striped shirt that seemed nervous is wonwoo. None of svt is nervous really wonwoo is just quiet (+they didn’t do a lot of his rap verses). Also something to note is sadly Wonwoo’s mother passed away right before these promotions. So he was understandably pretty down in the HOT promotions (shows, interviews, etc they did when they released HOT)

There are four foreign members in seventeen: Vernon moved to Korea from New York at a young age and is half Korean (father), half American (mother). Joshua was born in LA and both of his parents are Korean. Jun and Minghao are both Chinese and were born there but came to Korea😌
just want to correct that vernon is half white not half american (american isn't an ethnicity unless native american), but his nationality is american-korean :)

english is not my first language so i always confuse ethnicity with race, nationality and what not
for example for me i usually say when i’m asked that i’m half spanish have german, although that’s not where my parents are from and i’m black (or mixed idk how you’d describe it) lmao sorry if it’s confusing but i just get confused with these kind of things
@riri no worries for asking :) the confusion comes from that people don't know the difference between ethnicity and nationality. ethnicity is where your ancestors originally were from and influences how you look, nationality is a legal status of where you were born or where you live. so you can't inherit nationality from your parents, that is you can't say that vernon is "half american"
you're right that it isn't that big of a deal but so many people use this logic to say that vernon "looks american" when they mean he looks white/mixed, which kind of implies that they think americans (USA) are ethnically white people or that white people are only found in america (instead of europe where they are originally from) LOL
worse, when people keep insisting that vernon is american and ignore his korean side it annoys me because he literally grew up in korea and is more culturally korean, it's just his looks that make him look like a "foreigner." you can compare it to joshua who is definitely more american than vernon but doesn't get the same comments

@@vphxn oh no thank you for the long reply it clears my confusion, also with Vernon (although i haven’t been a fan for that long) have since the beginning noticed that he himself describes him as Korean so i respected that since the beginning, it’s just sad how as u said ppl who don’t know him, although maybe with no i’ll intent, rather see him as white or american or however they wanna describe him. But i get what u mean and it’s sad and since i found out he didn’t even live in america for that long it makes me even more mad, possibly cause i personally experienced something similar through my life while living in a country but not “looking” from that country

I'm glad you guys enjoyed Seventeen's killing voice. Each member showing their vocals and rapping skills. Though, the one you guys pointed out saying was nervous is Wonwoo. He's only more reserved because a family member passed away before the video was recorded and this was done a month after.

The finale song is one they finish every concert with. They play it for like twenty minutes and everyone jumps and screams endlessly with confetti going off. I saw them in concert this year and it was amazing.

I've known of them since predebut but didn't follow them as closely throughout the years but still was a big fan. Now I've rekindled my love for them and they are my main group right now.
