Hi Kel I have just bought this model today and hoping to set it up tomorrow, can you tell me does the Inkbird control the heater or do you adjust the heater to the highest temperature.
the Inkbird has probes in the water that report the temp to the inkbird these are in my experience way more accurate than the heater ones. so I put my heaters 1 degree higher than i want them then set the inkbird to the exact temp I want, the inkbirds will then turn the heaters on and off as needed
Not sure mate it says for an aquarium so probably needs to be indoors but here is the spec from inkbird site uk.inkbird.com/collections/temperature-controller/products/itc-306a-wifi
@@keynshamkoipond25 will be ok on that front does say Current: 10A Max Wattage: 1200W(120Vac), 2200W(220Vac) so might not handle your 2kw heater not a sparky but thats how i read it
I think you should go back and read the instructions . T1 and T2 are not the probes. I am learning myself. I just received my unit yesterday. And this thing is rather confusing. But I can say T1and T2 are not probe one and probe two.
you could however this is designed to control heaters you could get a much cheaper digital thermometer with a probe if its just temperature you want to see
@@KelsAquariums hi what some think that as wifi so no what temperature is in pond . I had good look around can't find much the inkbird is around 40.00 so not bad price I had floating thermostat and they are crap lol
@@sony436 ahh right. it would work but it depends on how you house the unit as its got attached sockets and not sure how it handles being outside all data is here for this model www.ink-bird.com/products-temperature-controller-itc306A.html
Very cool.. Glad I subbed.
Great info.
I wish I was more techy.. I am more pickaxe and shovel knuckle dragger lol
How do you find them on the two heaters. Does it shut both heaters off if it reaches the temp required?
Hi, yes. you can set both probes independently also
I have read that you need to have the probs next to each other. Nice video

This thing is garbage it doesn't connect in the app
that sucks mate. mine connected 1st time and every time you might have a faulty unit
@@KelsAquariums nvm im just stupid. But the instructions dont mention how to put it into blink with the wifi
@@RustyShacklefardd it does it as soon as you plug it in.
What about Russia though? Barely a thought given for those living in colder climates with worse road quality than we enjoy. You just seem selfish.
perestroika and glasnost
This heater is trash very NOT user friendly difficult to connect to the app if u can even get it connected do not waste money on this junk
Odd mine connected 1st time. I just installed the app and it connected and it has been working perfectly for nearly a year
Agree I'm struggling to get it to connect
Works for me...must be you 🤣
