This was a hard game to watch. We were in Dallas for this one and I'm impressed with our fans showing up. I'd guess the attendance was about 30% BYU which is amazing. I'm really happy we came away with the win but hope we start putting the pieces together.
I love that y’all show the ebb and flow of the game, and not just the highlights of us succeeding. Makes for such great storytelling! Love your videos!
a few observations: 1. these white with navy trim kits looks icy. 2. anyone still pretending this wasn't a really impressive win, is lying to us, or themselves. 3. i thought he looked pretty bad after my first watch, but after watching most of the game a second time AND watching a lot of highlights, retz wasn't nearly as awful as most cougar fans are promoting. but yes, he absolutely should be protecting the football better. 4. missing LJ is going to be tough to overcome. hopefully he's not out longer than this next weekend. 5. my "G word" this defense is fun to watch. the way these guys fill gaps AND fly around the pitch at the same time is just really really high level stuff. what a time to be a cougar fan.
That is not A-Rod's offense. His goal is to run plays that use his best players as disguises. He tries to make offense as difficult as possible so that when the do actually do something good he can say "Look how amazing these guys are to overcome so much adversity."
I feel really bad for the handful of SMU fans that showed up for this game expecting a win. It was a great game, but in close games like these the better team always seems to come out on top.
I wonder if part of the defensive strategy was to bait SMU into picking one QB over the other by allowing their preferred QB to get more yards and then once they committed change up strategy again
