David was a very good player in his prime. World class in every way.

Wow, I was never a big Tom Watson fan, but I liked to watch him play, but he just moved 1000 spots up in my heart. What great love, to help someone in need. Awesome testimony. I am glad David shared his story.

I didn’t know Tom Watson either. But I, like you, suddenly see him as a true hero

Following a boys amateur championship in Ireland during the 1970s.
I found myself stranded with no train fare to get home to Dublin.
David Feherty kindly gave me the money which I later mailed back to him at his home club.
    A great guy

Powerful story. Empathy is a wonderful trait. Generosity is another.

I was fortunate to be there and hear it live. Important message to be open up, seek help - that's a sign of strength and wisdom. And to check in with others - "I am thinking about you." "Sending peace, health and strength." "How are you doing...really?"

It's surprising the people who have been there and conquered this disease. Congratulations David Feherty and Tom Watson.

Wow, I was always a fan of Tom Watson, not just his golf. But this message is so fantastic. Humanity at its best.

What a profound message. Touching. Poignant. I'm deeply moved that Tom Watson had the concern and took the initiative to help David start on the path to recovery. If there's anything worse in this world than suffering a deep depression, I don't know what it would be (and never want to find out).

Give them HOPE sure unless you are Shey. 3 sons from that house landed up in rehab. David and Anita, loved, and provided medical attention and supported her sons through rehab but not his own son Shey why? Because they did not doctors to tell them what they already knew. Shey was a 5 year long sexual abuse victim from his fathers house! He did not matter to them in life - in death! Now he is the best attention grab ever. David is a phony, a fake a fraud. I hope his day is coming. RIP Shey. - Caroline Feherty.
