Zak Crawley might be the one of the openers who's been the long rope even after so many failures. But, my god does he belt out some beautiful on drives when on song. A well deserved half century.
He certainly looks as good as anyone and better than most when he's going well.
Looks like a player who is momentum based, but struggles to find it sometimes.
England doens't have many technically sound young opening prospects. So they are sticking to Zak for now.

This whole series has been nuts. The two teams have barely been able to reach 200. Not just today but in the whole series. Also massive praise Zak Crawley for getting his half century. The question is now, will England go an innings with out losing a man?

@@iPro3million thats exactly what im saying… what Im also trying to say is that Indie Aus and Eng players will always be chart topping because if you go look up the stats you will see that compared to other nations these 3 nations are playing in a test every 28 days, do you know that the next closest country are only playing every 40 at best … So with that knowledge imagine if Dale Steyn or even Vernon Philander played more tests twice where they couldve ended in their careers. I’m not taking anything away for them because understandably they also have to be fit and have great talent but don’t be deceived by numbers of test wickets players like Alan Donald and Shaun Pollock were great players but never enjoyed 150 matches because there simply wasnt that much scheduled not even Graeme Smith who played many years for South Africa managed that number yet however players from Engeland and Australie have reached that number on multiple occasions which makes it a lot easier for their players to reach 700 wickets also

If SA can't win Test Series vs This England side. Starc use Swing- M Starc, Hazlewood-Line and Length, Seam- P Cummins, AUS will win Test Series by 3-0 vs SA in AUS 2022.

South Africa is an Abysmal team and to think you drop someone who won you the first test and has been giving you wickets like every match why would you drop Jansen. Came back into the side got a 5 wicket haul right away. Selection needs to be better in the future.
Apart from Englands innings from second test, they're not batting they're joking, bowling from both sides has been exceptional whole series, same is happening in NZ aus series

What a summer of Cricket this has been - absolutely incredible performance by England. Every time you think it’s a bit too much for England to win, they come up with a performance to remember. Happened during the series against the Kiwis , then the record chase against India and now winning the test match in almost two days against the Proteas. For the first time since 2004 England would be winning six test matches in a summer. Loved the way Stokesy has led the side. He himself makes things happen like he did today. He is just incredible!

Solid opening pair, could have finished by the evening, English bowlers were master in seaming and cutting they look invincible in English tracks.
Not sure I would use the word solid! But both seem good guys, and I agree Crawley has beautiful stroke play, so hopefully he will persevere. Lees might not be Dilshan or Sharma… but he could be exactly what England need. He has been very valuable and stuck around a few times to take the shine of the ball for Bairstow and crew without getting a huge score to reflect his work.
England pace attack quite good for now, with other decent back ups and Archer coming back.

Ollie Robinson bowls inswingers from heaven, slightly shorter length than most swing bowling. Then Stokes bowled one just the same, the copycat. Certainly an amazing pace attack in English conditions, have to see how they manage in Aussie or SA.

Australia just absolutely flogged ENG in Australia with virtually the exact same test team... Australia has the best pace attack in the world if not certainly better than Englands... Aus retained the Ashes in 2019 aswell... the last time Eng won the Ashes was in 2015/16... ENG are TRASH 🗑

Aus is currently a much better test team than ENG look at recent test matches between the 2, WTC rankings, ICC test team rankings... Aus batting is alot better than ENG and AUS bowling is alot better aswell.. AUS retained the Ashes in 2019 aswell...

He's an awesome batsman but a poor opener. I'd put him at three over Pope any day. He's still young and I think England are hoping he learns to open. We need openers!
