It reminds me of when VG Myths spawned so many other video game challenge videos, or World Record Progression caused many other people to make a similar thing.
It was about time for the fandom to create fanbased formats. Pokemon had this for years. Even though I would love to see more creative formats instead of just formats that are like the progression series
I'm Pretty sure progression series was inspired by "Yugioh from scratch" as well. Yugitubers make Chains of similar but different series all after another
@@aaronfarrell3294 Unfortunately not. My focus has turned solely towards my novels as I aim to be published in the next couple years. Thank you for your support though!
Oh, it's Hardleg's take on Progression, huh? Well, it's a cool concept that can be modified in a lot of ways for interesting content, let's give it a shot. "Open 75 packs, one from each core set." Well, this is a strong start. "From each pack, we'll get to pick one card to keep." And sold. Took you less than a minute, but I'm in. This rules.
This series' concept is the embodiment of the exact type of duels I like and the way my friends and I play YGO sometimes. Truly a brilliant idea. Thanks, Joe, Duel Logs. I'm gonna enjoy this like you have no idea.
It’s really cool how the whole world state of the last year led to the Progression series which led to just a huge advent of all kinds of cool unique YuGiOh video series. This one definitely is a fun one just cause you get the fun stuff like seeing cards you’d never seen before mixed with old staples mixed with really good cards. Who would have thought Hane Hane would share the same deck as a staple Link 4 monster.
This is real YGO! Like when you are a new player and make your first deck from all cards you found and get as gift from friends! It sure bring good ol memories! Thanks guys, I needed that spirit of the form of when YGO was fun.
I have to admit I love this fresh idea on the series. Like Only taking one card from one pack just really makes it alot better for seeing how you make choices on the fly pretty much
This series is such a good idea. It combines why I love your channel with the same nostalgic jank of yugioh I fell in love with in the first place. I hope this series keeps going for a long time!
This is so beautiful! I love the mess that it creates! There's nothing to model it off of. Like, the progression series has the past to look at, but this! There's so much variance!
6:17 shout out to my favorite bad card in yugioh, Souleater. A vanilla earth fish with rubbish stats but by god is the artwork beautiful and way ahead of it's time
Another one of these series, I love it! I like the twists you threw on this one too. I expected this first match to be even more janky than it was, but you both actually had some interesting synergy plays and special summons given the circumstances.
This is a brilliant concept, made by probably the best YuGiTuber on the platform. Keep up the great work HardLeg, and as always, good luck and have fun
Can't wait to see more of this! You and DuelLogs work really well together, and I like the draft you laid out. Plus the catch-up benefits for whoever loses seem really good too. Well done you two!
Yes! This is the Yugioh I remember from College. I'm looking forward to more! Also Cataclysmic Big Chungus is actually a decent tech card for Giant Ballpark, since it can dump Gokipole from the deck when it hits the field.
Okay, I have only watched the intro so far but this sounds amazing and it makes me very happy! Edit: this was great. It's a creative spin on the progression format and it's not just another series doing LOB format and moving on from there. Seeing all these cards from different times being jank together is just awesome
Not in a place where I can donate on Patreon, but you got a view for the whole video, a like, and a comment to please the algorithm. This is a super fun idea, super jank, and I really hope you guys keep it going. Personally, I'd like to see you do something like MBT's Progression Playoffs and actually get 4+ people in on this. But either way, keep it up!
This is great! I've been having fun watching other progression series but this one definitely is chaotic and the closest to the feeling of entering the game late. The loser bonuses are hilarious too! XD when duel logs wins next round, take his precious freebie card!!
My only suggestion is it would be awesome to see your deck lists right before the duel just to see all the sweet cards you picked up and decided to play! Otherwise love the idea and can’t wait to see more episodes!!
Feeling good about this new series, have enjoyed watching the first episode c: Also excited that you got Dream Clown in your deck, dude's one of my all time favorite warrior type monsters. Did you know that he has his own fusion in the Metal Raiders set? when he does the dance with Crass Clown, they become a goofball named Bickuribox. Probably not worth the effort to summon since it only has 2300 atk but it would be good for the memes! Hope that you'll all have a good day dudes!! thanks to the patrons as usual
MBT also has a progression type series on his channel as well!! It works as weekly tournaments with 5 people and the bottom 2(?) losers get to ban cards. Interesting concept.

This is such an amazing series! It reminds me of how my brother and I would play, because my mom bought a bunch of Yu-gi-oh cards at a yard sale, and I remember being destroyed by his Barrel Dragon and Mechanical Hound beatdown, also those matches taught me to never be cocky as one time I managed to summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic and I could have beat him but I stalled a turn or two to soak in the fact I had won but then he turned it around with Dark Hole or something and beat me
Okay yea this is a crazy new series I can get down. GOOD OLD PLAY YUGIOH WITH RANDOM CARDS! My favorite! My brother and I used to play Structure Decks with some random cards. I really like it! I hope to see like non-core Packs being used too for the Chaos Draft!

Getting into the draft thing? Nice take on it... I remember when I started in 2003. I worked for months to perfect a blue eyes deck with the blue eyes ritual monster and lord of d.
