Yeah man, I feel you. All of my friends used to play Sega and I wanted one too. My mom and dad came home with PS1 and I had no idea what it was, cos i've never seen one. I had a couple of games without cover and decided to launch one. It was Tekken 3. This exact moment had set my love for fighting games. Physics of the game are ahead of its time and still on point. I love them all but ps4 has such a smooth sound. It also really brings me back to when I was 19 and left home to join the military. It was the system that I played as I grew into manhood. Something about it will always bring back a rush of emotions and memories from when I was randomly stationed in Wichita, Ks. Never thought I’d be saying “damn I miss Kansas” lol.

0:04 - 0:19 - The demo disc with WipEout, Jumping Flash and Battle Arena Toshinden, beating my first JRPG in Suikoden, breeding chocobos in FFVII so I could get Knights of the Round, the underrated awesomeness of Colony Wars … that 15 second tune brings back so many memories!
Oh yeah… colony wars was absolutely my favorite game. Almost wish they would do some sort of reboot. Eve Valkyrie for psvr is probably about the closest thing to it.
Really wish there was a way to bring some of retro sounds to the PS5 or other Playstations going forward. They already have the games on Playstation Plus. Just need the sounds now👌🏽🙏🏽
Ahh yes. A time when the only thing to ever want was a playstation. Back then there was no XBox and Sega Saturn desperately tried to compete. To the older generations XBox doesn't even compare because XBox wasn't there for us in the good old days. PS was the god of gaming systems. MGS was the cherry on top of the sundae boys and girls. 😌
I've got to say, the ps5 startup sound and home screen ambience with audiophile equipment is up there with the ps2 and dare I say even surpasses it to a certain extent. The ps2 aside from its initial loud bells transitions into a sound that closely resembles gusts of wind while the ps5 has such a sweet orchestral structure to it as well as a nice low end bass
The nostalgia of turning on the playstation in the middle of the night, sneakily to hop on with the boys… then: 1:52 dramatically gets it taken for a week.

*adios*
I love PlayStation 4
Sony did a great job with these sound effects, all of them are welcoming and iconic, but I got to give it to the ps1, that sound is just one level above all, both the ps1 and win95 greeting sounds are some of the best composed sound bites ever
Nothing, and I mean nothing beats the first startup sound that PS1 had. It is eargasmic.
Eargasm
PS2 without disc sound does.
PS2 will always be nostalgic to me and the immediate panic that we all felt when it would start up only to zoom into the red screen. rip
0:39 "PlayStation2" Sign was the best feeling ever! After waiting for ever for it to read the scratched up disk!
Ps1, PS2 and especially PSP startup sounds will be always in my heart!!!!!!!!!! Especially psp!!!!!!!!!!
It was 2003 when i heard for the first time the sound of PS1. I still can't forget it. We used to play our Atari like crazy and one day my dad appeared with PS1 when he arrived home. I didn't even have any idea about what Playstation was and it was a magical experience playing Tekken 3 that night.
That was about 20 years ago and your story had revived this beautiful moment in my head. Thank you
you were late to the party, but im glad you experienced it regardless
@@bulletz4life i was 6 or 7 when this happened :D i think it was just the perfect time.
You joined the military. That’s impressive
@@jebaited9036 well, its the military after all, it's difficult to join.
Yooo same I remember leaving home joining the military now I got my ps4 and 5 sitting with me in my room
@@devorizer5959 or yeah of course
@@devorizer5959 i remember leaving my home now im in space watching youtube
Ooh that PS1 start up tho 😍😍😍
I miss that so much ❤
Best start up EVER!!!
I am so glad that I've used or seen IRL all of these devices
In 10 years time, the PS4 intro will be such a nostalgia hit
It already feels nostalgic
So everyone had to wait 18 years? Seems a bit long...
I really like this relaxing sound from play station 4
Personally i think it’s creepy
@@devinliptai97 how lol
@الزميل make sense😂
i will never forget psp and ps3 startups just so nostalgic for me
psp was my first console, to this day, i always look up to its startup sound, its simple, pretty, smooth, just like what youd expect from a playstation console, and since this was my first ps console its always so nostalgic when you boot up psp that already has a umd in it and the console boots up like it was ps2 or ps1 or the early ps3, its small things like this that made psp so good
The PS5 startup music sounds like the music when you are choosing a galaxy to travel to in Super Mario Galaxy 1 especially this part 3:32
True
0:04 - 0:19 - The demo disc with WipEout, Jumping Flash and Battle Arena Toshinden, beating my first JRPG in Suikoden, breeding chocobos in FFVII so I could get Knights of the Round, the underrated awesomeness of Colony Wars … that 15 second tune brings back so many memories!
Colony Wars? Ahhhh, a man of culture.
Those pizza hut demo disc's were so dope
Oh yeah… colony wars was absolutely my favorite game. Almost wish they would do some sort of reboot. Eve Valkyrie for psvr is probably about the closest thing to it.
so this is what I get recommended at 12:00 am
The startup of the first PS1 it's epic bro.
Nothing will beat the PS2 startup or sound in my opinion that is iconic and I have such good memories of PS2
Really wish there was a way to bring some of retro sounds to the PS5 or other Playstations going forward. They already have the games on Playstation Plus. Just need the sounds now👌🏽🙏🏽
The *PS3,* *PS4* and *PS5* startups sounds *Great!*
From ps1 to ps4. Had all of them. Those were just pure and innocent times man. Dude thank you for uploading this beautiful piece of my childhood. 😇
Honestly
I remember playing Spyro on the PS1, good times back then, that sounds is so nostalgic, and Spider-Man good times to play on the PS1
Both of those were my early childhood games, along with an Area 51 game for the ps1
I bought Spyro The Dragon (1st one) on ps3 when the console came out, so happy that it was available on the store even if it's a ps1 game :D
❤️ Ps1 & Ps2 remembers childhood nostalgic days ❤️
PS2 is probably my favorite because of the graphics. Nice work!
I get goosebumps every time I hear the Playstation 1 startup sound. 😁😅
Beautiful times right? 😭
Same
Nothing can replace the original PS intro’s nostalgia
1:03 that sound on PS3 bring back so many memories
PS1 .. That sound .. So many sleepless nights .. Tears fell ~ 😭
I love the PS3 for that reason
The nostalgia of turning on the playstation in the middle of the night, sneakily to hop on with the boys… then: 1:52 dramatically gets it taken for a week.
Ps4 love and commercial
1:51 Calm music
Startup*
PSP and PS4 are easily my favorites. Thry are so calming
Man the PS1 start up brings back some early memories, but the best memories come from that PS2 start up. Still my 2nd favourite game console ever after the nintendo DS.
Appreciate all the efforts put in making these great startup sounds. So many memories.
PS2 best startup ! 💞
Agreed
👍😎
Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Worst
@@blindgamer8011 you say it is the worst because your a "blind gamer"
The PS4 one has always been my favorite, it brings back alot of nostalgia, I recently just got a new one and I purposely turn up the volume when I turn it on because I love hearing it 🩵
the 3rd one HAS to be the most calming
Nostalgia é a intro da ps1, isso sim, até arrepia 😌
É aterrorizante às vezes tb
