    With Dynam, "assembly" can turn into a "build". Check operation of motor, speed control , retracts and servos before final assembly. Models fly well with competent pilot, decent venue and wind conditions.

    Those Dynam kits are great, I can't believe how they can give you great quality at such a low price. I have the P-51D and I'm looking to add the F6F Hellcat in the next month or so. I like to change to a two blade prop though, I just prefer to belly land rather than risk the stress on the foam mounted landing gear because I have to land on hard dirt or sand and the multi bladed props always manage to break or cause the plane to flip over on a belly landing, but they do look cool when siting in the pits or hanging up in your workshop.

      Thanks for the prop tip, good info. I prefer the low stress of belly landers too. Rough grass landings here mostly.

    Howdy Andrew, fantastic looking model!
    I've got the Hurricane & Focke Wulfe by Dynam and they're visually fantastic models, well until I gave the hurricane a nose job & the cat stuck his claws in the Focke Wulfe yesterday, grrrrr.
    I'm sure you know by now :) Much less throw's on the ailerons (that amount of movement make me cringe!) and make her nose heavy beyond what the manual says, at least for the maiden.
    Can't wait to see this one fly.
    Matt

      Yes indeed. Thanks for the reminder Matt. I actually thanked you in the video for advice on throws (but it didn't make the final edit) Next video you are IN

    Hey buddy! Looks really good! I hope these control horns hold up! Seems that bangood products always need a little more finishing , i.e. Like 90% done....that's In addition to the regular build stuff. Some products are worth it for the price others I feel , like the ripple, are not priced low enough to deal with all the minuses you have to deal with( but what was your over all feelings now on the ripple?). For $149 ,rtr with retracts and flaps, I thought wow! Then I noticed pnp, and no flap servos....then the typical loose servo horn , missing parts, sanding finished foam to fit basic parts🤔🤔🤔. It devalues the product quickly from my opinion, but maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture. That is why I value your reviews so much! Overall beauty no doubt! But worth the money and shipping time plus additional hassles of not being able to buy it and fly it as you would think set ups would go? I reserve that for you mr friend🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👌🏻👍🏻! Take care...FACE🤓

    G'day Andrew, I noticed a few blemishes on the foam. Is that your handling or the packing?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It had a very rough trip over from China. Box was badly crushed, but the plane only has a few dings really.

    • @xxMADxMICKxx
      @xxMADxMICKxx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, most of my planes end up with a fair amount of hanger rash and crash damage in fairly short order anyway. I do like the value of the Dynam planes!

    Hello Andrew, have you had any problems with the Dynam Retracts and if yes what is the workaround?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes lots of problems. Not very reliable. I removed them on the Spitfire and Trojan and used them as belly landers. Must be upgrades available somewhere.

    How did you hook up the Ailerons to the receiver? Did you use a Y splitter? I just purchased an ATF Spitfire, and I have a Spektrum 6 channel radio, and 6 channel receiver with 1 port for the Ailerons.
    I know how to hook the rest of the wires up, but lost on the Ailerons.
    I have a Y Splitter for the retracts, and if I need to I can get one for the Ailerons.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Y lead into Ch 1 for the review, but I prefer separate aileron channels. I'm using a Taranis.

    Great plane wandering if you will do video on dynamic Catalina in future believe V2 is out now

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unlikely, no useable ponds available. A mate had one and I wasn't tempted then.

    Why are the cannons not an eye hazard? Is the aerial a hazard for when you're holding it?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Less of a hazard because they are big, obvious, out of the way, and not as sharp. The aerial is invisible from above and right where your eye is while trying to look into the front of the fuselage through the canopy. Maybe it's just me being hyper- aware of eye injuries.

      I thought he said `medical photographer` which conjured up some fairly gruesome images in my mind when he said that. But of course, that is the nature of the business, right?

      Yes, I'm a Medical Photographer. To get to the same point as me you need a very understanding and supportive wife.
