  • Radio 700 (87,45 MHz) received here in Finland during ES-skip of 1481 km and only 60 Watts of tx-power (EIRP, according to FM-list-site). The official CCIR FM-band from 87,5 MHz and up was totally saturated (see beginning of this video) during this ES so this station transmitting below the usual frequency range was the reason why it could be heard. It must be a STL, Studio Transmitter Link.

Excellent! One of the famous domestic Shortwave station transmitting its STL on FM! You should request them an QLS 😮

That's not wirking. Frequency is wrong, because this Programm do not send at 87,45MHz. Otherwise max. Level after 1500km could be -82dBm = 25dBuV free space pathloss.

Hi, this is not so uncommon to happen during strong ES conditions and the equipment we DX listeners are using (sensitive receivers, LNA and directional multielement antennas). The 87,45 MHz is an STL (studio link to the actual transmitter). Take a look what else was heard here on that same day; www.fmlist.org/fm_logmap.php?datum=2024-06-02&hours=0&band=Es&rxin=FIN
