Thanks for this. You've succeeded in clarifying to some degree, how difficult Italian comprehension can be if your native tongue is English and have been speaking it well into old age. I've been studying textbook Italian on and off for some 10 years now while living in the South below Napoli. At this point, it's a struggle to understand, if at all, what I'm hearing from the locals. Reading is easier, but as you mentioned in the video, understanding sentence structure as it agrees with: article, adjective, verb, noun, gender, tense, etc., Italian in my view, is far more complex than English and mistakes are bound to happen.
I'm so happy I was able to help :) Yes, you're most likely hearing the local Napoletano language which is quite different from standard Italian. Best of luck :)
My pleasure 😇 nothing is impossible, you just need to find a structure or method that helps you to understand it and practice to reinforce it. You got this 😊💪🏻
da italiano devo dire una cosa: quando ci sono due "o" tipo shampoo, zoo, non si legge shampu, zu, ma si legge shampo, zo. spero che questa informazione sia stata utile!
What is confusing me as a basic learner is, for example, why there are so many different ways of saying just one word! 'The' for example or 'I', when in the English language they never vary. And as for 'Prepositions, well, Iv'e just given up! There doesn't appear to be, at least in my opinion, a structured, stage by stage way of learning the language in the correct order...or is it just me? I enjoy your videos nonetheless, in the hope that it may all come together, eventually. Just subscribed.
Bravissima. Sto imparando l'italiano da 5 anni è ovvio ci sono i tempi che la trovo difficile ma piano piano si va lontano :) il subjunctive è un beaste ma un giorno guarderò. Anche perché balbetto ma ancora adoro la lingua 🥰
I have tried to learn,Italian,French,Spanish and German.I am completely useless.I do not understand the Grammar, the Listening, the Speaking, the Writing and the Reading.I would say I got 2 out of 10 in trying to learn these Languages.I have just started on an Italian Course again.I do not understand it.I probably I get 2 out of 10 again.I do my best, but my best is not good enough. Not to worry,it is not the end of the World.I will give it another go.
Everyone say trilling r’s is hard but all you need to do is practice, I know it sounds fake and I thought it was also but just try everyone day or week if you want
As an Italian I have enjoyed the video. Now I know what are the difficulties an English mother tongue deals with when they study Italian 😀.

Make a video about the colors names in Italian
Very similar to Spanish
You're amazing.
It's funny that a words like "zoo," "idea," and "area" are seen as loan words from English considering their origins are Latin.
👌🏼
Sorry to correct you but the word privacy originates from Latin.
