These darn fires. Was flying home from Seattle on July 16 right through a lightening storm. Saw so many flashes and now so many fires. South of you in Southern Oregon. Amazing! Your video of how federal forests are maintained is a big part of the reason. Perfect fire tender with oodles of oxygen. Sad!

My cousin, who is very clever and smart and handy, saved his house by impersonating a fire fighter and jumped on a truck heading up a hill close to his house, he jumped off when close to his house and was able to save it and the neighbor's. This was decades ago. Wonderful guy. Could do anything. He built his own home, log cabin but modern inside.
So the crew on the fire truck would just allow a stranger to hop on? I suppose if it is a large enough fire where there are tons of mutal aid units, this is plausible.
Reminds me of spending my summers with my uncle in New Mexico. He would run his perimeter with a 1974 Honda 250 Elsinore, I would go with him on my Kawasaki KE100 on days I wasn't working. His moto on bikes was if its good enough for Steve McQueen its good enough for him.

that fuelbladder is fantastic idea. I should have known someone makes something like that for bikes. Way better then tying to lug around even a small fuel can.
When the sidearm may seem outrageous to some, Cody lives in wolf and bear country. We've seen wolves on his own property in past videos. Plus there may be other predators in the woods, two-legged and four.
I don't ride bikes or quads very often but are you using just a regular water bladder for extra fuel or is that something special? I would've never thought about doing that, i think that's really clever
