Nice blades. Not a knife aficionado but daily carry a couple. I employ the XXL oversized Reyn Spooner un-tucked method of concealment. lol However, my best form of self-defense technique over here is never wearing rubber slippers in public. Brachial stun, maim and run! 🙂
I like a right hip mounted sheath because I have no other weapon on my side. My EDC folder knife is in the right pocket, always. My firearm is holster mounted inside my backpack, always. There are too many places restricting carry of a firearm and one mistake might create big trouble. No one ever second guesses my old Coach leather backpack and there is no legal right to search it. I’m moving to 4.25” Buck 212 Ranger limited edition for EDC when on ranch or around rodeo community and events. My Benchmade folder will always be in my pocket. Sometimes it’s just the folder in the pocket. When I’m in higher risk profile areas ia 5.25” Bushcraft knife on side, and it’s wicked. What you carry should fit the environment you are in.
Buck does NOT make a custom 117. You have the Pro model. I also have it. Also, the Buck 420HC steel, is cheap steel, but one would NOT call it brittle.
@bobdayton9608 thank you for the correction on the model, you are right! I stand by the description as brittle, as I have micro-chipped the edge on 420HC many times.
