This is a very helpful trick to know. I do this with a lot. I've used it for text, pictures, and stains as well. Sometimes I mess with L.I.E. but this gives u a bit more control I think. I also do the same procedure in photoshop to change colors and designs on clothing parts as well. Good stuff my dude

In the absence of texture templates for Genesis clothing, Iray decal nodes work just as well. I've made some Iray decals in Inkscape.

The problem with decals is that you got to move it all the time and adjust it everything you redo a pose.
