Imagine as a parent hearing about a school shooting going on and scarred/worried for your child and waiting to see him come out of school, but your kid is the shooter.
That's the craziest part. If these are sane loving parents, it's horrible to find out that your child is the one doing the shooting. I couldn't even imagine. Plus the parents get no sympathy and often get harassed, even though they may not be at fault at all for what their child has done.
