You have the upgraded lock, which you can tell from the smooth stop pin. It won’t fail the spine whack. The ridged stop pins were from the old lock geometry.
I haven’t been into expensive knives lately because I’ve been on a budget kick trying to get the most for my money but this one might make me splurge. I like serrations in tactical knives. The sound that makes is nice when you open and close it.
This is my favorite Microtech so far. They have been killing it lately. This one is the best of the bunch. As soon as I got it in hang I knew immediately. This is a keeper or forever knife. It fits my hand as if it was custom made for me. I'm not an otf guy but I buy all Microtech manuals.
"Serrations" , my imagination tells me i need them..😂😂😂 that is awesome... i just purchased the green aluminum with serrations and have to say it's my new best folder... thanks for the video sir and i agree 💯%
Howdy and thanks for the review..I also migrate back to tactical knives..have the MSI, Amphibian. And the wonderful Stitch in auto and Manuel! Wonderfully overbuilt and completely comfortable in hand! Saddle up!
Huge knife! I love it! I’ve been wanting the Military 2, however, what’s another couple hundred bucks? Microtech and Spyderco definitely have the best serrations. As long as that Ram lock holds up, I’m in.
I just checked the price. It’s actually not as much as I expected. Looks like right about $300. I think this one is worth it. It’s a micro tech so you know it will hold it’s value.
Awesome knife man. I can’t believe the complete circle rollercoaster ride I’ve been on with knives. I won’t even carry a knife anymore if it has a clip. Sounds crazy right?!?! Hahaha. Just the times and my edc gear. I carry 2 blades , just neither have clips.
Have you tried the MSI? That's my favorite Microtech to SDUEDC (Self-Defense, Utility, Everyday Carry). I absolutely luv the RAM-LOK. Personally, I like it better than the Omega Spring Cross-Bar Lock Folders. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
I have, both, the Black, 7075, Fluted Aluminum Model and the OD, Fluted G-10, Apocalyptic Model. I think these are just so "SEXY!!!" :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

Seems like you've got the apocalyptic finish which I had been considering for myself. Great choice Bob!
Looks like an awesome one! Thanks for the share TKJ.
Oh that frickin killer King Junkie!!
It’s so beautiful

Good review! What the date on your clip? Mine is 2/24 Also is yours a post fix version (from the spine whack failures)?
Great review I think I'm going to feel the same way about it
Just subscribed. I like your style , honesty and choice of words
Nice Commander!
Mine’s perhaps the sharpest out of the box folder that I’ve encountered in years.

I love it. I want a big folder. My 4 inches has been great but I want to go bigger. I think I’ll try a Luzon at 6 inches of blade for less than $30.

I agree i feel like the only way to buy a microtech is if its serrated
I like Collecting the Tactical Blades, too... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

How do you carry them?
@@barakandkimsternberg1478 I carry a fixed blade and the surge and another smaller knife in same pocket, to fiddle with.

Nice knife. Do you ever collect Italian stilettos or German lever locks?😊
Link the knife test videos
I'm missing mine now. I just sent it to Mike Emler to look at.
