The Truth about Cave 8 Ms. in Quang Binh - Driving through Vietnam on Truong Son road (HCM road) P7
In retrospect 41 years ago, on November 14, 1972, enemy planes bombed and bombarded Route 20 to prevent reinforcements to the South. At that time, 8 volunteers from the same hometown of Hoang Hoa, Thanh Hoa, including 4 men and 4 women who were on duty to keep the traffic arteries, entered Tam Co cave for shelter; Unfortunately, the bomb hit a huge stone block that fell to cover the mouth of the cave. In the days that followed, the teammates used all means to pull the stone out, but were powerless and 8 TNXP were gone forever. It was not until 1996 that people broke down the stone entrance of the cave and found many relics as well as the remains of the heroic volunteers. The locality has built a temple next to smoke incense, worshiping heroes and martyrs on the route.
In early 2009, right on the 50th anniversary of the legendary Truong Son Street, the banana tree in front of the cave was in full bloom, making the staff and soldiers keeping the relic there very happy. The first, the second, the fifth, the sixth, then the 8th and stopped, no more beans, even though the flowers are still blooming.
On the night of May 19, 2009, during the 50th anniversary of Truong Son Street in the area of ​​​​the memorial temple for heroes and martyrs, at the time Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen finished his speech and everyone solemnly turned to the temple of silence, Then from the cave sounded 3 loud cries of geckos. In the morning, the security guard found behind the guestbook cabinet there was a gecko's nest with eggs stuck to the wall in an arc. And again everyone was surprised because there were exactly 8 eggs. Then the eggs hatched into 8 healthy baby geckos...
