Happened with me while I traveled to Toronto with a layover at London Heathrow, met one elder woman coming alone from Jalandhar, I saw her weeping as her confidence broke down due to the strict checking at London Heathrow. Me and my family tried to calm her down and didn't leave her till she was calm and gained her confidence back and smiled again. I was thinking the same of having such a platform to avoid such situations in the future thankfully it has come from your side.

When my parents first travelled back to India from USA , I just came to India along with them so that they don’t face any such problems. I believe people living in USA and Canada at least earn this much that they can afford this expense. Nothing is more important than parents.

Heartwarming story.. i once helped two punjabis bhais in belgrade airport in filling the immigration form . They were hotel workers in cyprus. It felt good. Then i lost my gopro in Belgrade. Went to albania.. was heartbroken. Had to reorganize my trip but ittefaq.. due to reorganization i got to meet Mountain Trekker varun sir himself in Tirana..

Bhai, This is a problem nowadays due to their children running behind money. Only purpose of these elderly is to look after their grand children. Value of human life is deteriorated.
Staying at one place your whole life is not good...elder people are also getting smarter these days and should not feel dependant,they can always ask for help to co-passengers ,some one or other will definitely help.
Its the fault of children who are letting their parents travel alone, not the airlines. Our older parents travel between USA, Canada and India and we make sure we help check them in or accompany them ourselves. There is meet and greet service. The children have to blame.

For an elderly flying alone they should be sent by direct flight. United Airlines have a very bad reputation in terms of service.
They should’ve booked direct Air India flight to Toronto, but in order to save some money they booked a connecting flight that too by United.
It is completely the Airline's responsibility if the person misses the connecting flight due to Airline's fault......Shocked at the behaviour of United Airlines
