Firstly, Varun doesn't use proper translating apps in 2024 of which there many including some great AI driven app like Reverso which can literally eliminate misunderstanding. Varun assumed bad about the guy even when he doesn't understand Turkish language clearly which is a problem on Varun's part. The person is simply saying there is no metro buses from this station and was trying to show you alternate options and you make it more irritating for people by speaking to them in Hindi which is dumb. Speaking English would be better since they would understand some English words compared to imposing Hindi words on them and expect them to understand you. Before you assume someone to be a scammer, please use proper translation App like Reverso to avoid awkward situation like these.
It's not cheating at all the whole situation was a mess due to miscommunication it's also happens every where even in india
He wasn’t trying to scam you. He told you that Metro’s office in there went bankrupt and there was a bus which is about to go Nevşehir. Then you made bad assumptions about him and he got upset. Metro bus picks you from this station only if you call their number. You thought he was against you, but you were so wrong and had to wait for metro bus for many hours, for nothing. Such a waste of time and energy.

Everywhere you go any corner of the world you will find this kind of fraud people cheat people this thing happened with me while I was travelling from Dehradun to New Delhi I supposed to get down to Kashmiri Gate and mid night, they are saying this is last place Kashmiri Gate is not in our route so you supposed to get down here , will not take you there because just of one passenger. This thing happened with luxurious facilities travels company who runs Mercedes Benz bus who earn much more, enough money and behave is like more than cheaper person.
Scam is another part of tourism anywhere, In our last Rajasthan trip, foreigners toh door ki baat hai, humarah hi cut gaya tha. Mere papa pakka gujarati vyaapari jinka reputation ke woh gaay ko ghee bech dete hai, unko scam dar diya tour guide ne 🤣🤣

It's a huge problem in Turkey. In fact the guy on the Costumer Care was supposed to speak English (well, he's getting paid for it) but he hung-up your call sayiing he doesn't understand. I've been to these places and speak Turkish as well, belive me, they're just tryinng to get rid of you, this should better get to the officials soon.

Thoda sa cringe tha . Metro bus lene ke lie Itne papad bele. Chale jate alag bus se thode zyada paise dete. Aadmi Sahi to tha. Metro bus ka counter to nai thi at that stop. But on the positive side, when the metro bus tried to scam you & tried to drop off at different location & you were determined to get your self dropped at your destination as per your ticket, that was commendable. Metro bus tried to scam you instead

Only few can understand how he created situation something which was nothing to do with the person he was right though. he said there is no buses and he was right. Unless you book online and there was language barrier which we misunderstood him..

He’s a tour operator and trying to sell his services. He wasn’t totally wrong as well…as there was no metro service and you have to call for the service.

Selling your product by giving wrong info is scam only dude, kal ko koi india mai private bus operator ye bole ki aap jaha Jane chaahte hai vaha train nahi jaati aapko bus se hi jaana padega, even though train available hai and tourist ko train se hi Jana hai. So it is a type of scam only
No, you should not have shown his face on camera, even though we can't say for sure that he tried to cheat you. You are lucky, Turkish are cool people, try and do this in India and you and camera will be down in seconds. As for other tourists or even regular passengers, they will never travel like you, all tourists have a planned itinerary and buses changing routes, cancelling due to few passengers is very common since operating buses is very costly and most people are prepared for such situations.
Just speak to him normally dude . Assuming things of a person when there is huge language barrier between you two is not right . Speaking to him in another language in front of him just for a vlog is down bad . It is entirely possible its just miscommunication between you two .

You are such an experienced traveller. As you have travelled a lot alone round the world specially using the public transport you have gained a lot of experiences. You can readily understand where a scam is going on. It really needs a lot of courage to travel and deal with people in a foreign country--- and which you have.So many times before you have faced challenges and had overcome. This time also as you said you had won 😊 9:21 the way you thanked him in Hindi sarcastically was just great😅. 10:43 the way thr fraud person at the travel desk reacted was very funny to see.😂 Even the bus operator was trying to get a shortcut way. This is not accepted as the place is already mentioned in their travelog. Thanks to your friend who helped you in time of need. These things may happen anywhere. And what to say about smoking of Turkish men......

Don't get me wrong, here is one observation that you may not like.
I now see that you frequently visit turkey as a traveller and not just for one time.
Which means that you should learn basic Turkish by now in order to communicate with them and not just upto simple phrases if you are visiting there frequently.
You have to understand that not all non English speaking countries prioritize English just like India, South Africa and Philippines do.
So in that case, frequent visitors to one such single country have to adjust with the country's culture and not always expect hospitality one's own way just because one is a foreigner.
It's not to disrespect you or disregard what you went through, it's just a general observation.
You ask the man about the metro bus company and he tells you that the metro company has closed its office at this station and you cannot buy a metro bus ticket here.
You ask him if there is a direct bus to Urgup and he tells you that there is a bus to Nevsehir (the main city 10 km from Urgup) and that it will leave soon. Not knowing the bus routes and schedules of a company that does not even have an office at that station does not make him a fraudster.
he works for another bus company (pamukkale bus company) and he is telling you the truth. there is no bus leaving from that station to go directly to urgup. just because you buy a ticket online and get picked up by the metro bus on the way doesn't make him a fraud.
It is a very insidious behavior to publish his video without permission and throw him in front of thousands of people accusing him unjustly.
It's not those people's fault that you can't explain your problems properly.
Bro try to keep your mind calm. He was definitely not trying to scam or cheat you he was helping you out. This is not the first time you are going crazy on officials. Sab tumhare hisaab se nahi chalega. Do let fame go over your head. Learn from other TH-cam travel channel. And zaroori nahi ke sabko English aaye.
Turkiye is not a great place to visit from hospitality point of view. 3 of my very close friends went there in last one year - robbed, scammed, cheated, and faced discrimination both based on race and country. As a traveller, I will always prefer country where my countryman are at least not discriminated upon (generically).

I think what he was saying is correct, there was no one from Metro bus on that bus stop. Probably you were not in right state of mind on that day Varun. Anyhow, one suggestion- at the end you confronted that guy but thats risky, it could have gone worse. So avoid such altercations!
The biggest difference between you and other indian travel TH-camrs is that you sound very educated, while most others sound immature and uneducated. No matter where someone lives or what they do, their identity is reflected in their behavior and the way they talk. Keep it up!
