Old Army Vet here!! (1987-1994) I watch all of your videos and the other guys as well!! Me personally, I think it was easier to just go in and get it done without watching videos and over thinking everything once you get to basic... Keep up the great work 💪🏾
Thank you!
@@TheBenAllen. welcome my guy 💪🏾
I’m 14 and looking to join the army when I get out of high school but im not physically fit. I am looking to fix that sooner rather than later. Will I be fine I’m basic? Any advice?
@@HughJayness-pd5hnsitting here about to ship out rn man. You got plenty of time so take your time don’t over do it. Focus on running and weighted walking/jogging. Maybe pick up a sport if you don’t already play any. Soccer was a huge help for me. Good luck though and good for you for knowing what you want.
@@Slowraccoon thanks good luck bro.
Bro. I'm on my way to Ft benning Georgia. I check in Superbowl Sunday with my recruiter and fly out Monday am. I've watched a lot of your videos. Thanks for all the info
Thanks so much for watching! 🔥
Take care of yourself at 30th AG.
Same here
@@diegobasstian3765 where are you flying out from? I'm home-based in Arizona.
Shipping out to BT in a month. I'm eager to dedicate myself to the best I can be.
Leaving Monday 02/26 kinda nervous cus I suck at running never been good at it but hopefully I get better at bct.
Leaving Monday for MEPS 🎉
I went through May-July of 2022. The worst part was MEPS and reception. Boring and mind-numbing. Once basic starts it's better because you are busy. The days are long, but the weeks are short. Take it one moment and day at a time. Do what you're supposed to do: right place, right time, right equipment. Don't screw over the other trainees because you want to break the rules or slack off.
Well said!
I’m literally 45 minutes away watching this rn
I leave OCT 1st 11B Im exited and training my ass off!

Say You Sign up For 6 Years After you Complete that and Say you get out Do you still Get Benefits of Them paying for college or Trade School or Would it be better to Switch to Army Reserves
No the benefits only last while you are in the army even if you don’t use the college they don’t go over your contract time. if you join the national guard they will pay for your college education up to a 4 year degree and also pay you the GI-bill if you score high enough on the asvab. The pay scale for the GI-bill is based on credit hours you submit mine is $1,600 a month just to go to college other then summer time while I only go once a month to drills in the Gaurd and working on getting into the ROTC program to duel contract which means I will have two contracts with the army one with rotc and my 6 years with the national gaurd ROTC will help you pay for college while also helping you become and officer after college and (OCS) officer candidate school
@@et7878 I thought TA was Only When Your Actively Serving and G.i was Able to be Used After you Complete your Contract
Leaving in 2 days😬

I leave in 2 1/2 weeks 😂
Hey Ben, I'm 35, married with 3 kids and was an athlete in high school so I know what it's like to PT and be yelled at and all that. I've been to MEPS and passed all the physical part. I DQ'd from the Navy because I had to many dependents. Went to the Army and they are going to take me, I'm about a month from heading back to MEPS to Swear in, pick a job and ship date. My main worry is... I kind of have them 35yr old knees 😄I think from all the running in training I was doing to pass MEPS I kind of wore myself out, my knees do hurt sometimes when I run but not to the point where I can't take it. I can do pushups, sit-ups, run, jump, squat, throw and I can run I'd say about 2-3 miles comfortably. But is basic training really "Hard" or is it more of a mentally toughness thing? I have 3 good friends who were in the military and who I played football with said Basic training was easy, two were in the Navy one was in the Marines.
