Tree planting project aims to restore caribou habitat in N.W.T.’s Tłı̨chǫ region

An ambitious reforestation project is unfolding on Tłı̨chǫ land. A million trees are being planted around Behchokǫ̀ in the coming years. The federal government is chipping in half the money for the project. Finding the rest of the money is only one of the challenges. The other? Harvesting the right spruce cones at just the right time.
