With all that being said, ive trie LA blue crab, king crab, every trope of snow crab and shell fish you can get on the east coast. By far, my favorite crab is dungeoness. Straight from the pacific north west of America is the sweetest firmest, most satisfying, and best yield per dollar in my opinion. I love my blue crab, but you will not beat dungeoness, it's like eating blue crab, but it's sweeter, and you get meat out of every part of the crab

I use to.eat nothing but rock crab when living in so.cal. since I've moved to.oregon 20 years ago all.i eat now is dungeness crab. You can catch alot a rock crab. When I pull up my cage and thiers rock crab I thought it back.
@Novac Last time I went crabbing in Havre De Grace I caught several soft shell males being protected by larger males. These are homosexual crabs. They're turning the freaking crabs gay! Admittedly, not all NC crabs are Alpha. There is a growing population of Sigma male crabs in NC.

Snow is also my favourite, even over Maine lobster.
I love seafood but hate lobster and have only had crab a time or two . I really want to try some good crab tho because I want to enjoy eating it 😂

Golden king crab is the polically correct name for brown crab, which is what the fishermen call it. Blue king crab hasn't been fished for many years.

Red rock crab is the sweetest. But it’s not caught commercially.

Blue crab from the Chesapeake is hands down the sweetest and most succulent crab there is. And that water ain't exactly freezing cold.
Wrong. Blue crabs from MD are 100% gay. NC blue crab are the alpha crab.

Spiny Lobster come from warm waters of the the Carribbean and tend to be sweeter than Maine Lobster.

Wrong, colder water doesn't contribute to it being sweeter. Dungeness crabs live in warmer water, but they're sweeter out of the 3.
