Yea, PVC works for all kinds of projects. I had made some target stands for a range...good idea for rods.

It is super easy to make and really practical!
Great idea. As a suggestion if you wanted to make a small two rod holder for sitting on shore, you can eliminate gluing just one of the end caps so that you can dunk it in the water and fill it to give it some weight, The 4th end cap will stay on tight even if it's not glued on. Then on the uprights when you put the end of the pole on, you could drill a small hole for the water overfill so that your pole handle isn't sitting in water.

Terrible idea. Just use sand so you aren't exposing cork or rods to higher humidity.
I used a 5 gallon bucket, mounted a lazy susan on the bottom an attached a total of 21 Pvc pipe rod holders inside and outside the bucket with zip ties. Takes less space, less expensive and it rotates to access all sides.

@@WeGoFishing I purchased the plastic lazy susan from Lowes. It is smaller in diameter than the bucket. If I make another I'll attach the LS to a plywood base about 3" wider than the top of the bucket. If I don't balance the weight/number of rods in the bucket it can be a bit tippy when rotating the bucket selecting rods. Making a plywood base wider than the bucket will eliminate this problem.

What are the dimensions of this as built?
I don't know because I change the configuration as needed. It is completely flexible and meant to be built to your space and dimensions.
laugh at you i am sure you are a responsible fisherman and take off your lure and reel to and lock them safely in a fish locker yea we don't want to have NUT running around killing people we're not like the gun-happy people yea leave their guns laying around lol
awesome video yea i do have a lot of money tied up in rods and reels too special when i hand make the rods too yea i do make rod case to my best results for the cases are 3 in PVC pipe glue and wrap leather around the tube too does dress up the case i have a soft leather sock i put the rod into before i put it in the case to hand first to the tip has a hole i put around it to protect the tip from breaking off never had one break off when shipping them too have had a leather case for the reels too yea have leather cases for the tackle boxes too lures i make to-do ship them with a leather box too
Great suggestions for those with high end rods. Probably too much for my cheap $50 rods. Lol.
