    I found you videos and love learning the techniques you bring to everyone. Thank you for your teachings. 🙏 I have been searching TH-cam on how to make seamless patterns for conical tumblers. I love it! Now I know I can use the inskape 1.2. I will download it in a couple days. I am just busy at home. If I dive in... I KNOW I will loose a good day. Hahahaha The one thing I do differently that I will probably keep.... Is I build it on my box then duplicate at the end and clip set. When I get busy I will test to see if that works in the 1.2. I love to do florals... but I do way more than florals. I have photoshop... but for repeating patterns I prefer to use inkscape.

    In another video on this type project, they mention turning off anti alias to stop the lines between tiles. Have not tried it yet, what are your thoughts? Perfect instruction by the way.

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I think that's a good idea to try. The lines are tricky because they don't show up when exported out of Inkscape, but for some reason the program wants to make sure the tiles are separated visually. When you zoom in and in, the line just scales with the zoom. Funny behavior.

      Nice! Inkscape uses Export to do what most would consider Save or Download. Go to File- Export and in the menu that pops up choose either Page or Selection, set the DPI and towards the bottom of the menu you can designate where the Export will be sent/saved and also choose from a few file types like PNG or JPEG. Let me know if it works!

    The selection of the set of flowers wider than the page

    • @AlextheENTP
      @AlextheENTP ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I know what you mean, there is a lot of blank space between the object and the edge of the selection box. Sometimes that's a random pixel way out there - this can happen if you trace bitmap, a piece of dust gets caught near the main image. The solution I use here is to edit nodes and simply delete those far-flung nodes.
      If it happens when using filters, my workaround is clip>set using a new object in the desired size.
      Hope I've understood you correctly.

    What to do to remove that line in pattern

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! It's a known glitch, and it's glaring- at least to me. Logos By Nick has the best explanation and workaround video on his channel. I've found when taking the original (unrepeated) pattern out of Inkscape for use in Photoshop or for products on Redbubble, the seam is gone. Or so it seems.
      In my opinion Inkscape is showing the seam on purpose to represent the separate items. If you zoom in, it goes away for a second and then is rendered back in. Its always the same thickness even when zoomed way in, which tells me it's not part of the vector objects. To test this theory, make a quick box of 4 and export to PNG. Thin lines are gone in the PNG image.
      Or....someone else reading this may experience the seam because stroke was left on for the original square. Hope this helps!
